This is a thread on how you can make a sketch of yourself in Python using 9 lines of code.

🧡 πŸ‘‡πŸ»
A bit of backstory, when I was in 7th grade, I used to play with this photo editing software called "GIMP". (short for GNU Image Manipulation Software)

Using a couple of clever techniques, I would make sketches out of images like what you saw in the first tweet.

Tutorial hell sucks and I've been in it for 5 years.

Here's how I got out of it.
🧡 πŸ‘‡πŸ» 5 years of tutorial hell...
This thread is about my somewhat unsuccessful journey in learning how to code.

I wouldn't say I am a "pro-coder" right now but by doing one thing instead of just watching tutorials:

I believe that I made more progress in the last year than all the 5 years before it, combined.

Are you planning to learn Python for machine learning this year?

Here's everything you need to get started.

You can use many languages for machine learning, why Python?

Because of 2 reasons:
- Comparatively easier to learn than other languages
- Has the biggest and most mature community

This makes Python a no-brainer to learn for machine learning as a beginner.

I just saw an account that has verbatim copy-pasted tweets from other accounts and gained over 20k followers in the last month alone. (no credit was given either)

I wonder whyπŸ€” @jesss_codes
Please be careful of this account everyone.πŸ™
I did not want to call anyone out, but typically these accounts do fraudulent things after getting lots of followers, even if not, copying is not cool.

Prerequisites assume calculus (i.e. taking derivatives) and linear algebra (i.e. matrix multiplication). It is explained throughout the lectures but some prior experience always helps.

Some Python knowledge would also help.

These concepts are generally taught in High-School.
