Hi Friends,

I have received Full Refund of Rs 1.5L from Finvasia with regard to the issue on 13th Apr'2023

Here is the detailed thread on

I started placing orders from 9:20am (using Algo)

At 9:30 I noticed that SLs were not placed for open orders

So I tried to close open orders but I was not able to close then as the attempts are getting rejected with "SAF RED IS DOWN" error
At 10:02 I got a notification from FINVASIA saying that issue is resolved

So I closed all open orders and made sure no pending orders are there and closed the terminal fr the day and my MTM was in a profit of 4k at this time

I was done fr the day n relaxing..

My experience

Time Based Straddles(TBS) is Random Shit & Yes, u can make money if u r disciplined and keep risk under control.

Points to be note:
1) Just keep UR over all risk under check
2) Don't allocate 100% capital for TBS (I've alloted 30% capital)
3) alwsys have a position in system ie., plan the trades across the day coz u never know when decay will come or when it picks a direction...
4) Don't over complicate it with 21% 22% 23% SLs, keep it simple
5) Have a check on your brokerage, taxes and
hedge cost, they eat a lot of your profits ..
6) Don't change the system frequently
7) Last year it gave good profits if you enter at 9:23 so it dosent mean it will give good profit at 9:23 stick this in your head
8) Back U R strategy with some logic, it will help you to stay

It's not simple EOD MTM but see the MTM Fluctuations

Remember, my last 2 days were -1% loss and next is flat

1st 30-40 min into market today and i'm alredy 1% up now Shall I book (my 1st thought)

Slowly it went to 1.5%

Then it went to 2% ie., highest mtm in this account ImageImageImageImage
Now the far otm hedges that gave good profit in the fall due to I've spike started to melt as markets halted at same price for long time

PNL came below 20k, Slowly it came below 1% (regret stated)

I was feeling bad but I did nothing

the telling my recent stock mock backtested strategy at 4k followers marks.

So here I m telling d strategy which gave 0.9 expectancy in stock mock backtest.

It is very simple,
We sell 3 straddle in a day with fixed 30% SL but the timing of selling the straddles is different
for different days and below are those timings..

We need not place any straddle specific mtm SL but we need to keep over all daily mtm SL = -7500/-

No profit target for the day..
If SL js not hit then we close at 3:10..
