A Kuwaiti woman & lawyer sued a man bc he was harassing her sister trying to force her into marriage, threatening to kill her. He was arrested & released on bail. Once free, he murdered the woman, stabbed her dozens of times & left her body outside a hospital. #جريمه_صباح_السالم
The man, who is still walking free, also crashed his car into the car of the lawyer whose sister he murdered and child he kidnapped.
This is the murderer after crashing into the lawyer’s car, after he kidnapped her daughter, before he murdered the sister. They will say this man was crazy, and that this is anomaly when this is more of a norm. He should not have been released on bail. #جريمه_صباح_السالم#kuwait
They caught him and he is in jail. Let’s hope they don’t release him ... again. #جريمه_صباح_السالم
“That is what we got, exactly what we said, that he is gonna kill her, and he killed my sister. Who can help me? God damn it! God damn it! Where is the government? We told the judge! I am asking for my rights! I told you many times he would kill her, and now she’s dead!”
CORRECTION: It seems reports that he was trying to marry the sister are not accurate, rather he had threatened to kill her and her sister with his car multiple times, which is why the lawsuit was filed by the lawyer. The prosecutor released him claiming he was not a threat. 🤷🏽♂️

1/ In a striking moment from @AJEnglish's "Business of War" series an @AtlanticCouncil fellow is left momentarily speechless when confronted with a straightforward question about the think tank's funding from arms dealers.
The clip captures the interviewer pressing: "How can you unravel from the interests of weapons companies when there's money coming in from them? So I'm just trying to understand what reasoning is behind that."
The fellow pauses awkwardly for what feels like an eternity—about 10-15 seconds of on-screen silence—before stammering a response: "I think you're right, it's something a lot of people have commented on, the relationship between the interests, and we see this often. But I would say that if you are interested in learning more about The Atlantic Council's Intellectual Independence Policy, I can connect you with people at my organization who can talk to you about that."
