On this day (10th Ramadam, 8 AH), Muslim forces under the command of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered in the Makkah unpretentiously and peacefully, completing the conquest of Mecca. No house was looted, no human was insulted, no child was enslaved and also no woman was raped.

1/9
The allies of Querishis, Banu Bakr broke the pact of Hudaibya with Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ by killing some men of Khuza tribe and Khuzas were allies of Muslims.

People of Khuza asked for help and on their call, Prophet ﷺ left the Madina with 10,000 men on 10 Muharram 8 AH

2/9
The Holy Prophet ﷺ entered in city on his favourite camel Al Khaswa having Usama ibn Zahid [RA] behind him. On his way he recited Surah Al-Fateh.

The all Querishi tribal leaders accepted the Islam and also the suzerainty of Islam including Abu Safyan, the Chief of Makkah.

3/9
The people assembled at the Ka'aba, and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ delivered the following address:

"There is no god but Allah. He has no associate. He has made good His promise that He held to his bondman and helped him and defeated all the confederates.....

4/9
Bear in mind that every claim of privilege, whether that of blood or property is abolished except that of the custody of the Ka'aba and of supplying water to the pilgrims. Bear in mind that for any one who is slain the blood money is a hundred camels.....

5/9
People of Quraish, surely God has abolished from you all pride of the time of ignorance and all pride in your ancestry, because all men are descended from Adam, and Adam was made of clay."

Then Prophet Muhammad ﷺ turning to the people said:

6/9
"O ye Quraish, what do you think of the treatment that I should accord you?"

And they said, "Mercy, O Prophet of Allah. We expect nothing but good from you."

7/9
Thereupon Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ declared: "I speak to you in the same words as Hazrat Yousaf [AS] spoke to his brothers. This day there is no reproof against you; Go your way, for you are free."

8/9
They were the same people who insulted Prophet ﷺ, fought wars against Islam, made alliances against Muslims and today his all old enemies were at his feet but he forgave them. The Glory of Islam was established.

"During the reign of Jahangir, who laid out many lovely gardens and villas in Kashmir, the Subadar of Kashmir became enamoured by the beauty of a Hindu girl. When he could not obtain her consent without making trouble he had to resort to a ruse.

1/12
He persuaded an elderly Mohammedan woman to appear veiled before his court and whilst personating the aforesaid Hindu girl, professed her love for the Subadar and was ready to marry him, but was prevented by her father under the influence of his co-religionists.

2/12
The Subadar obtained a fatwa (legal opinion) from the mullahs permitting him to marry the girl without her father’s consent. He then sent troops to the house of the innocent girl to seize her by force and bring her to his Zenan Khana.

At their peak they succeeded to conquer much of Gujarat, Malwa, Mewar & Kutch as well as some parts of Maharashtra too.

Depalpur- a city relatively unknown by the masses but the witness of some of the important historical events.

As according to legends it was built by Raja Dipa Chand. Prince Lal Ras was his younger son who sank into the earth because of his stepmother's curse.

1/n
So Raja decided to built a monastery in the memory of his son, named Dipalpur.

The fort of Dipalpur was the same place where Amir Khusrow was jailed by the Sultans of Delhi Sultanate.
The city was reconstructed by the Mamluk Sultans and then also served as the capital of Punjab during the Mongol invasions.

Infact the founder of second largest Muslim empire of South Asia, Ghiyas-ud-Din-Tughlaq was the governor of Dipalpur

A beautiful Timurid Quran : Unfortunately sold by Christie’s for £7 million.

The Quran was likely to have been commissioned by the one of the grandsons of Amir Timur, the Asian conqueror. ImageImage
The manuscript’s aesthetic properties stop the heart. Each of its 534 folios are dyed in rich hues of deep blue, turquoise, pink, purple, orange, green and cream—the kaleidoscopic variety meant to both honour God in all His infinite variety. Image
Which evoke a pleasurable aesthetic response in the worshiper. The paper itself was made by a little-known process that infused lead white into the folios, resulting in a silky-soft and pliable page that would have enhanced the sensory experience of holding the Qur’an. Image

So this thread is about a festival named "Ginani" which is traditionally celebrated to mark the beginning of harvesting season in the Hunza Valley.

However it is also celebrated in Gilgit by the name of Ganoni and in Baltistan by the name of Strublah.

1/6 Image
Usually it takes place in the middle of the June when the wheat & barley ripe. The headman of the village fixes & proclaims the date of the event before fews days of ceremony, depending upon the situation of crops. In Hunza traditionally this date is fixes by Mir of Hunza.

2/6 Image
On the afternoon of the fixed day, people go to their fields with the loaves fried in butter, which are eaten at a corner of the field by all the members of the family. After this they return to their homes with some spikes of barley. These are used to make a sacred drink.

So this is about the "Fabulous creature of Winters" from the deep forests & snow mountains of Kashmir, locally known as "Rantas" (plural rantse).

Rantas is metonym for mysterious witch in Kashmiri folklore, known for abducting husbands & children among mortals.

1/11
By appearance she is a female with the size of one-and-half human having dishevelled & long hairs that reaches to her feet. Those hairs actually help her to hide her body.

She has also the wings from neck down to the feet, bestial teeth & extended arms.

2/11
However she can alter her physical appearance often pretending a woman of unparalleled beauty having sweetest fragrance to attract males.

As she is considered a master of disguise so there is no way to recognize her except her feet that would always be in reverse direction
