Idk about yall, but I like not getting foodborne illnesses
i like poor people not having as many teeth problems just by drinking the flourinated water that comes out the tap, and being able to avoid scurvy & pellagra & beriberi just be eating cheap, fortified cereals. Also i like not getting iodine deficiency bc it's in table salt now
A lot of ppl dont remember these diseases are things that are now easily prevented bc we pasteurize milk and fortify common, cheap household foods
Ugh, when will twitter let us edit typos
It's also like really cool to learn about what foods are fortified in different countries due to cultural differences in what foods are eaten more. Like some countries dont need to fortify iodine bc seaweed is a common food ingredient.

Im toying with the idea of not filling out any of the mental health questionnaires before my therapy/psych appointments. They're not accurate enough and present a skewed view of my mental health
For instance; the questions relating to executive function. Yes, i have MDD, which can affect EF, but im also autistic. I will likely *always* score low on EF. And then there are questions about not being able to sit still. Which, i stim. A lot. It doesnt always mean im anxious
My stimming doesnt mean im having a manic episode (i dont have Bipolar Disorder). It just feels like these questionnaires make it look like my depression never improves. It does! But bc of the overlap with autistic traits, it doesnt measure these improvements very well

This only happened bc we pushed so hard. And even with all of that pushing, the ball didnt really get rolling until an autistic person who happened to personally know someone involved was able to get Rober, et. al. to listen to us.

This should not have happened at all
Autistic ppl shouldn't have to spend the month that is OSTENSIBLY ABOUT US fighting w/ allistic ppl to not harm us, or at the very least, do some gesture to mitigate that harm.

Rober, et. al. had to be dragged kicking and screaming to do ANYTHING

Ask yourself, why?
It is wrong for ppl who arent in a marginalized class to "raise awareness" w/o any input/consideration/participation from those marginalized ppl. It's wrong when white ppl do it to BIPOC. It's wrong when cishets do it to queer folk. It's wrong when abled ppl to do to disabled ppl
