Claiming that he is being "persecuted" because he is a Christian (and not because he is openly defying basic health measures aimed at keeping everyone, including his followers, safe), Artur Pawlowski MIGHT be facing some actual consequences... perhaps? 2/

And because he continues to present himself as a perpetual victim, the judge who issued the order must also be corrupt because anyone who doesn't do what Artur wants has to be corrupt. 3/

Before I continue, this is the news Alberta is currently facing as a result of poor management by the provincial government and behaviour championed by the likes of Artur Pawlowski. 4/

And before I move on to what happened today, I always find it interesting that these people believe that the news is "fake" unless it conforms to what they believe... even if it doesn't. 5/

Today Artur held what amounted to yet another super spreader event because... "patriotism"... I guess? 7/

Not only does he ultimately not care about his own followers, but he certainly doesn't care about the people in the neighbourhood. 8/

Most of Artur's sermon played the usual hits. The government is corrupt. Their enemies, targeting Christians, irredeemably evil. And the police who are following "illegal orders" (spoiler: they are not illegal) may soon be running for their lives along with their families. 10/

Or when he thinks the use of the term savage in describing FNMI peoples is acceptable and yes, I know that Derek Storie claims FNMI status and that he refers to his show as "The Noble Savage" but, yuck. 17/

One of the more telling moments was when he dared the police and AHS to arrest him which suggests inaction to this point has emboldened him and people who support him. 18/

I'm not sure if collecting bylaw infractions like you are collecting Pokémon is especially laudable. 19/

We also learned that Rebel Media is footing Artur's legal bill as he introduces John Carpay as one of the guest speakers.

This strikes me as a rather significant revelation if true. 20/

Another guest speaker, benefiting from nepotism I suppose, is Artur's brother Dawid who also engages in Islamophobia while and conspiracy mongering. 24/

Also, concentration camps are being built according to Dawid and the government is planning on taking everything you own and then killing you because being concerned for public health is the same as mass murder.

Despite ostensibly being a church service, as noted in Dawid's speech a fair amount of time was devoted to discussing the civic election in Calgary and the slate of candidates running associated with Artur's Street Cult cult... er... I mean Church. 26/

And it probably shouldn't be a surprise that the form of government envisioned by this crowd leans heavily towards theocracy. 27/

We hears from Dawid who is running for council (pointedly emphasizing "man" in the antiquated term "alderman"). Kevin Johnston also gives a mercifully short speech.

Artur knows Kevin has been sick, but he doesn't seem concerned about exposing his followers or the neighbourhood to a possible virus.

These people present themselves as patriots. However, aren't patriots willing to make sacrifices for the common good? 46/
