1. I was headed to the store earlier, & I see this old, legally blind man crossing the street. He looked lost. I pulled over & asked him if he was ok. He had just come out of the hospital & was walking home. Based on his address, he was pretty far. I offered to take him home...
2. I was not worried.
I know it was risky, but my heart was telling me he truly needed help to get home. I said a prayer & drove him home. Heโ€™s 74 yrs old. He has no one in this world. He was a Veteran who had tried to commit suicide 4 yrs ago. And had tried again on Friday...
3. I told him my story. And what I had tried to do a few months back. I told him God loves us & he wants us around. And thatโ€™s why he put me in his path today. He made it home safely...
4. Then, I get to the store. I see an old lady (89 yrs old). Waiting for her transportation since she wasnโ€™t able to drive. She asked me if I could let her know when the bus got there since she couldnโ€™t see far. I decided to stay with her and keep her company...
5. She told me a few times that she felt bad. That I could go home. I said no. She told me she had no one here in Vegas. She has 2 daughters in another state but they donโ€™t come to see her, or check on her. Her son died when he was 41. She was alone and lonely...
6. I ended up giving her my number. I told her she could call me any time she needed to talk. Or if she needed me to do food shopping for her. She told me to call her too. And that sheโ€™d love to meet my son. We waited for the bus for over an hour. What a sweet lady...
7. I told her I was going to call her at least once a week to check on her. She asked me to promise her I would do that. I offered to take her home. But she said she didnโ€™t want to bother me...The bus finally came. She gave me a big hug and told me she hoped to see me again...
8. I had to share this with you guys. Not for attention. But because I wanted to make everyone aware that the elderly need us. They donโ€™t deserve to be alone. They need our love. Family or not. Be there for them. I apologize for such a long tweet. #BeKind ๐Ÿ’–
Thank you for such beautiful words. I truly didnโ€™t do it for attention. I was raised this way. My son @AgentKemono continues to inspire me to be a better person.

โ€œFunnyโ€ how youโ€™d think they didnโ€™t have any money or were homeless. Nope, their family abandoned them. So so sad.๐Ÿ’”
