Followed the election results on a combination of @Twitter, the Election Commission’s website, @the_hindu @Onmanorama @thenewsminute and television news. It was interesting how the different mediums covered the same event.

Twitter as usual had a section under “What’s happening” dedicated to the elections which included @ECISVEEP updates, snippets from different news media, the most relevant [and all] with the election hashtag

@TwitterIndia had a special feature for the elections that directed related searches to @ECISVEEP
“The "election information prompt" will be active in six languages—Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Assamese, Hindi, and English—supporting more than 20 hashtags in local languages.”…
Great that @Twitter made these resources available in regional languages too!
