$EEENF Cocono Phillips' Willow prospect is currently halted & being sued by environmentalists due to "irreparable harm" that it can cause to the landscape and Polar-Bear/Marine-Mammal populations in the area from its development, citing violations to the Endangered Species Act.
$EEENF Environmentalists note declining population of Polar Bears (+ other Marine Mammals) in the Southern Beaufort Sea region. Declining sea ice endangers critical habitats & Polar Bears are being forced inland to den. Not a single Polar Bear can be killed per the MMPA.
$EEENF "We do not anticipate" DOES NOT EQUAL "Cannot Happen". Endangerment of Polar Bears (& Others) will remain a threat in the "Action Area" (Area of development where threat exists to critical habitats). Future development will go on, but alternative locations may be sought.
$EEENF While COP is expediting summary judgement of the lawsuit, they are halted until December 1st, 2021. This is interesting because if an injunction is passed, Willow may be abandoned. State of Alaska doesn't want this but if passed, COP will need to look elsewhere for oil.
$EEENF If injunction occurs and $COP is forced to abandon WIllow, look how close 88E acreage borders COP. COP initially planned to spend billions on new projects, Merlin & Harrier would be ATTRACTIVE PROPECTS, in areas where wildlife endangerment is less likely. Think about it🙃
All I'm saying is, the potential catalyst for COP or other big players in the region to look at alternative sites is always a nice thing to be aware of.

$EEENF (1/8) Why do I believe that $COP plans to potentially incorporate Peregrine & Umiat discoveries?
What if I told you that within the Master Willow Development Plan, their intention is to build "up to 315.9" Miles of ADDITIONAL PIPELINE from nearby existing Infrastructure?
(2/8) The nearest Pipeline is in the Greater Mooses Tooth 2 Unit, ~11 Miles from the proposed Willow Processing Facility that Conoco Phillips plans to build as part of the project.
From there, only ~30 Miles of Pipeline are needed to connect the 5 Wells they plan on building.
(3/8) This totals only 41 Miles of Pipeline so far
However, in 2 Dvlpmt Alternatives, COP may decide to build an additional Diesel Pipeline to transport Diesel fuel to the Willow Processing facility to simplify operations instead of trucking it from the CPF2 Unit- 60 Miles Away
$EEENF @88EnergyLtd UMIAT DD Thread - MUST READ! What you didn't know:
SEPT 2013 - Linc Energy hired Scott Ryder Company (Petro Consultants) to evaluate the FMV of Umiat
The valuation is based on 2P+3P Reserves of a massive 1 Billion Oil-in-Place in all formations @ Umiat!
It is worth noting that the Oil reservoirs at Umiat are VERY shallow & the overlying permafrost creates some challenges for extracting the oil since the Pressure & Temperature at these shallow depths creates issues with the flow-rate of the Oil from the Reservoir to Production.
HOWEVER, with the help of Ryder Scott & PCA Consultants, Owner/Operator at the time (Linc Energy) proposed a plan that includes 35 wells (24 Producing / 11 Injection) that could fully capture the Reservoir Potential and, when fully developed, extract upwards of 50,000 BOPD!
$EEENF TIMELINE OF MERLIN RESULTS as Compared to CHARLIE-1
On 3/3/2020, 88 Commenced the Drilling of Charlie-1 in Project Icewine (located in the Central North Slope, roughly 50 miles East of Merlin in Project Peregrine; of which we are currently awaiting the final results for).
April 7th, 2020 (They plugged Charlie): After a series of operational updates regarding the actual drilling, 88 announced a Gas Condensate discovery at Charlie-1. They collected Sidewell cores from the HRZ (Highly Radioactive Zone), which is a prime targets for Natural Gas.
April 20th, 2020: 88 Energy released an initial interpretation of the find (similar timeline to release of presence of hydrocarbons announcement after plugging Merlin)
Preliminary interpretation indicates Hydrocarbon pay in Torok & Seabee (Initial Lab results expected in weeks)
Per the Capital Share Structure (5/21/2021), it's clear David Wall's share count has doubled since his departure.
Below is a detailed chart of all shares issued to David Wall, his fund & Performance Rights.
Note the 2M Share Purchase in 2015
Many are unclear if the Performance Rights count towards the total share count (which would bring the total count to 197.6M - still 42.4M shy of the 240M total).
David Wall has received two separate instances of Performance Rights:
21,900,000 - 10/2018
64,500,000 - 1/2021
The 64.5M Performance Rights were issued in 2021 and are too early to "Vest" so they have NOT been converted to shares.
The 21.9M issued in 2018 have NOT vested either & some have EXPIRED. 4 Tranches remain to be tested but have not been vested yet.
$EEENF Capital Structure updated May 21st & Compared to Feb 23rd
David Wall DOUBLED his position since his departure (120M to 240M)
ML, Citibank, BNP, JPM: This is HIGH NETWORTH buying. Not Joe Shmoe's like you and me
Top 20 went from 36% of OS to 64% of OS.
Follow the money.
Also, I realize ELKO is not on the list anymore. I'm sure they sold previous shares to cover operational costs (they can't work for free). But the Capital Structure is also only current as of May 21st, not June 6th when ELKO received an additional tranche of shares. Just FYI.
One more point Id like to add.
A nominee account is a type of account in which a stockbroker holds shares belonging to clients.
So ML, JPM, etc are all holding $EEENF shares for their high net clients. ELKO could still have their shares intact, just under a nominee account.
Let's understand what exactly we are seeing in these graphs RE: Fluid Composition results from 88E's recent sample disclosure (many people are confused by the sea of blue and think it's mostly comprised of water and very little oil).
Naturally, Representative Samples of the "Original" reservoir fluid must be obtained to determine its composition & to better understand the reservoir in detail. A Uniform Fluid Composition is not always the case, hence why multiple samples are needed.
Please note Points 3 & 4.
88E was unable to sample the most prospective zones. HOWEVER, the samples they DID retrieve are representative enough to develop an EOS (Equation of State) fluid characterization, which can be used for PRELIMINARY CALCULATIONS of the HYDROCARBONS IN PLACE.
