It's been 10 years since #Bridesmaids released and became a trailblazer for woman-led comedies. Director @PaulFeig spoke to Insider about the classic film and how he initially thought the movie would never be made. insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
Feig first got involved with the film when producer @JuddApatow called him up to attend a table read for a script Kristen Wiig had written. It took another 4 years to get the film off the ground, leaving Feig "bummed out." insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
Feig felt his movie career was stalling out, but he kept working by directing commercials. He called his lowest point a Macy's ad that starred Donald Trump. 4 years after that first table read, Feig got a call from his agent.
Speaking with Insider, Feig looked back on the evolution of the movie's most memorable scenes and revealed the recognizable stars who were in the running during casting. He also shed light on the reason we'll likely never get a sequel. insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
.@MindyKaling was considered for the role of Lillian, best friend of Annie (played by Kristen Wiig), but @MayaRudolph was chosen because she was close with Wiig due to starring on @NBCSNL together. Feig called it one of the easier castings for the film. insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
One of the most memorable scenes in the film was the wedding dress shopping scene, but it could've been completely different. Instead of all the puking, Annie was set to try on a dress and have a romantic fantasy with a shirtless Matt Damon. insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
But the scene was never shot. Feig came up with the puking scene because he and Apatow had eaten at a “s---ty restaurant” and felt that Annie needed some consequences for her actions. insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
Another memorable scene is the flight to Las Vegas, which also could've played out differently. The bridal party was supposed to make it to Vegas with Annie having a stripper encounter. But Feig wanted to avoid any "Hangover" comparisons, which was a hit. insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
.@MelissaMccarthy arguably had the best performance in the film, nabbing her an Oscar nomination. McCarthy ad-libbed most of the scene in which Megan talks about being bullied in high school. Feig said it really shows Melissa's versatility as an actress. insider.com/bridesmaids-pa…
A "Bridesmaids" sequel likely won't happen because Wiig “didn't want to do one,” Feig said. Without Wiig's involvement, "a sequel can only poison the original."

Anthony Q. Farrell (@aqfarrell) is a showrunner and executive producer who used to be a writer on "The Office." After being laid off, he couldn't land another writers room job for years.
This is how staying creative led to his second big break. 👇
Farrell says that "The Office" was one of the better writers rooms in terms of having at least a few people of different cultures and ethnicities — it had more people of color in its writers room than most of the shows at the time.
Tucked away in a conservative suburb of Los Angeles is a small, Christian school offering an unaccredited education the owner — Kanye West — claims could "actually turn your kids into, like, geniuses."
Initially registered with the state of California as a Kindergarten through 8th-grade academy, the school is named after West's late mother and currently offers classes for students in Pre-K through 12th grade, according to its website.
Kyle Richards invited the ladies to Aspen at a party for Rinna Beauty.
Despite some ongoing tension in the group, all of the ladies in the group accepted. Friends of the show Sheree Zampino and Kathy Hilton were included on the trip too.
Erika Jayne has been dealing with legal drama related to her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, who has been accused of embezzling millions of dollars from malpractice victims.
People may or may not be surprised to hear this but — reality shows are actually not @MaryFitzgerald_’s cup of tea. She said watching drama and people fighting makes her uneasy.
Still, being on "Selling Sunset" on @netflix has been good for business. ⬇️
She said the Oppenheim Group gets a lot of fake clients because of the exposure.
People write in and pretend to be potential clients because they want to meet them. Fitzgerald said they have to be extra cautious to avoid wasting their time.
