Witch Yoongi comes across an injured fairy on his supply run and decides to take him in to nurse him back to health. Despite their differences he falls for him much faster than he'd like to admit.

Yoongi is grumbling under his breath as he’s making his way through the thick forest to find some herbs. Hoseok came by to visit and ended up spilling everything so now Yoongi is all out of the most basic materials for his spells and potions and he really can’t work like that.

To be honest, going on a supply run wasn’t part of his plan for the day and a part of him hates Hoseok for putting him in this situation. But at the same time he could never really hate the bubbly boy.

He’s stepping over roots, the leaves crunching under his feet as he makes his way deeper into the forest. He’s been here more times than he can count, knows where he needs to go in order to find what he’s looking for however as he keeps on walking, +

+ this time he notices something different.

There’s something laying in between the grass and the herbs.

Or rather someone.

Immediately Yoongi’s stance becomes more careful, eyebrows knitting together ever so slightly as he gets ready to throw a spell at the person’s head if need be. He very slowly takes another step closer, but the figure doesn’t move.

Are they dead?

Yoongi takes another step closer and he can now make out the face of a man contoured in pain. Despite the scrunching of his face he still looks beautiful, his features delicate, soft. His skin is slightly tanned and covered in golden glitter and he’s only wearing a big linen +

+ shirt that goes down to his mid thighs where Yoongi can see some sort of shorts poking out underneath. The rest of his legs and feet are completely bare and exposed.

His lips look so pink and plump, slightly parted and looking incredibly inviting and for a moment Yoongi is frozen on the spot, just staring.

He’s never seen someone so beautiful before.

The most obvious feature about the man however are the almost see through, sparkly golden fairy wings protruding from his back, laying limply on the ground, only emitting a very dull glow.

Yoongi’s never met a fairy personally. He’s heard of them, read about them, sure. But he’s never come face to face with one before. They live deep deep in the forest, deeper than Yoongi would ever dare to go and it’s incredibly rare for them to wander out of their homes this far.

Yoongi really wants to get a closer look so he takes another step in the direction of the fairy, the leaves crunching under the sole of his shoe and immediately the fairy’s eyes shoot open, two big purple irises staring right into Yoongi’s fearfully.

The boy tries to scoot away from the stranger, panic obviously starting to bubble up inside him but for some reason he doesn’t seem to be able to get up and run away. That’s when Yoongi’s eyes fall on a big patch of blood on the fairies shirt and his eyes widen.

He’s hurt.

„Hey, hey, it’s okay.“ He immediately tries to make himself sound as soothing as possible, holding out his hands in front of him to hopefully show that he’s harmless.

The fairy only seems to panic more, trying to push himself up but immediately crying out in pain and falling back down into the grass with a weak whimpering noise. Yoongi’s heart aches seeing him struggle.

„I won’t hurt you, please, I can help.“ Yoongi tries again, the fairy’s eyes locking with his once more.

He just shakes his head, trying to scoot away once more like a scared animal. Yoongi frowns and tries to think of a way to calm the boy so he holds his hands up beside his head and carefully takes two steps back, „Here, look, I don’t want you any more harm.“

The fairy still looks very suspicious of him, but stops squirming. He tries to sit up once more, this time so he can look up at Yoongi better, but it just results in him letting out another pained whimper.

However this time he pushes through it and gets into a sitting position, his back immediately leaning against a tree as he’s panting heavily.

„What happened to you?“ Yoongi inquires quietly as his eyes fall on the wound on the fairy’s stomach. It really doesn’t look good.

The fairy seems to be torn between whether or not he should answer, but eventually he clears his dry throat, „I was attacked.“ His high-pitched, hoarse voice answers quietly and despite the state he’s in, it sounds like music to Yoongi’s ears.

„Who attacked you?“ He tries to get out more information, slowly letting his hands fall back down to his side.

„Hunters, humans. I’m not sure.“ The boy mumbles, slowly shaking his head and squeezing his eyes shut when another surge of pain seems to shoot through him, hand coming up to lay over the wound which only makes him hiss even more.

Yoongi gulps heavily as he watches him. He didn’t know the hunters had made it this far into the forest already. There’s a reason why he lives alone in a cottage in the woods and he really doesn’t want to have to move. Again.

„Why are you out so far all alone?“ He finally asks which prompts the fairy to look away.

Yoongi waits for an answer, but it never comes so he eventually lets out a soft sigh. He would be careful too if their positions were switched.

„What’s your name?“ He asks instead, the man’s head turning back to face him again.

„Jimin.“ He mumbles a little reluctantly.

The witch nods, giving him a small smile, „Hi Jimin, I’m Yoongi. I’m a witch and I don’t live too far from here. I can help you if you’ll let me.“

„They shot me with a silver arrow.“ Jimin shakes his head, letting his head fall back against the bark of the tree, „The poison is already spreading.“

Yoongi frowns at the words and shakes his head, carefully taking a step towards Jimin, immediately noticing the way he starts scooting away.

„Please.“ He begs, „Let me take a look at it. I think I can cure it.“

He can tell Jimin is torn, staring at him suspiciously until he suddenly starts coughing heavily, quickly covering his mouth only to find a little bit of blood in his palm and on his lips.

„Please, Jimin. You’re dying and I think I can save you.“ Yoongi tries again, watching the fairy gulp heavily.

„I’ll be in your debt…“ Jimin mumbles as he averts his gaze, causing Yoongi to let out a frustrated sigh.

„I know your kind cares a lot about this stuff but I don’t. Just let me help you.“

Jimin eyes Yoongi one more time before he lets out a deep sigh and finally gives a small nod, „Fine but I’ll have to repay you. I can’t stay in your debt.“

Yoongi can’t help himself from slightly rolling his eyes, „If that makes you feel better.“ He nods and then finally walks over to Jimin, still careful as to not startle the hurt fairy.

However Jimin doesn’t jerk away from him this time and allows Yoongi to help him up to stand. He groans in pain and clutches onto Yoongi’s biceps, trying to steady himself, but Yoongi can tell that Jimin will never be able to walk back to his cabin like this.

„Can you walk?“ Yoongi asks nevertheless, watching as Jimin tries to take a step but almost instantly collapses, Yoongi barely managing to catch him, „Alright, that’s a no.“

„S-Sorry.“ Jimin breathes out shakily, gripping onto Yoongi’s arm to steady himself, „Like I said…the poison has already started spreading.“

Yoongi honestly only sees one option, „Jimin, may I carry you?“

The fairy’s eyes widen immediately, head whipping up to look at Yoongi. He looks so shocked that it almost looks comical and in another situation it would’ve probably made Yoongi smile.

„You….“ He gulps, averting his gaze and seemingly trying to think of an answer. Eventually he gives a small nod, „Okay.“

Yoongi gives him a small, hopefully reassuring smile and carefully picks Jimin up. The fairy is almost the same size as him but his frame is much slimmer and yet Yoongi really didn’t expect him to be this light. Maybe it’s a fairy thing.

He makes sure not to squeeze Jimin too hard in his hold and finally starts making his way back to his cabin. He glances down at Jimin every now and then and finds the fairy slipping in and out of consciousness, causing worry to fill him and making him walk a little faster.

Eventually they make it to the small wooden cottage. It’s nice, really. Dark wood and a cute little garden behind it. Yoongi’s come to love this place in the years he’s spent out here.

He used to live in the city, even practiced as a witch openly and had regular customers until one day hunters tried to take him down so he ran and has been hiding in the woods ever since.

Humans know about the existence of supernatural beings and a lot of them don’t mind, even live in harmony with them. However a big portion also wants to see anything they don’t consider natural dead which seems to be exactly what happened to Jimin.

Yoongi pushes the door to his house open and carefully puts Jimin down on his feet, letting him hold onto a bookshelf to steady himself, „Give me just one second.“
