The Stone currently resides in Edinburgh Castle, but it wasn't officially brought to Scotland until 1996.
The historic symbol of Scotland's monarchy was first taken to England by Edward I in 1926 and built into a new throne in Westminster Abbey.

It remained there until Christmas day 1950, when four Scottish pro-independence students removed it from Westminster Abbey and brought it home to Scotland.
For THREE months its location was unknown - until it turned up at the high altar of Arbroath Abbey.
