one of the coolest things about humans (and really life in general) is how much of what and who we are relies on the microbiomes throughout our bodies. theres literally trillions of bacteria and fungi that do everything from digest our food to direct our thoughts and emotions
ive even heard some microbiologists say that the human body's relationship with these microbes is what truly separates humanity from other species, not just our genetics and physical bodies on their own.

the most fascinating aspect of biology hands down
we wouldnt be us without our germs

adolescence is so hard because youre coming into social situations and a sexuality that is new territory. these days many young kids have already been indoctrinated into powerful ideas about gender and sexuality before these themes have even become relevant in their own lives
one (of many) of these ideas is that there is something inherently wrong, oppressive, evil, and harmful about being "normative" in terms of gender or sexuality.
whats considered "normative" can vary, but usually it refers to heterosexuality and masculinity/femininity as typically associated with men and women

these traits vary from person to person, but most people will be a bit "normative" in one way or another

one of the biggest changes in how i approach social media now vs a couple years ago is that i no longer feel outraged or personally slighted when i see a stranger say something that, had someone close to me said it, i would find hurtful and offensive
even when i do find something offensive, like when trans activists say really callous and cruel things about detransitioners, it doesn’t suck me into a pile on or get my adrenalin pumping. i used to get hysterical if anything even slightly offended my individual sensitivities
growing up in the social justice cult makes you feel like the world owes you to never trigger any negative feelings inside you. everyone else needs to be acutely aware of all your sensitivities and when they can’t, because they’re strangers, it’s because they’re evil bigots

the fact that people don’t see the financial benefits for the pharma industry when more people medically transition with less “gatekeeping” (aka ethical evidence based treatment distribution) shows how profoundly ignorant people are of the well documented history of this industry
many people who medically transition will rely on pharmaceuticals and medical procedures for the rest of their lives, even if they detransition.

long term patients are a goldmine for this industry and they do everything in their power to create them, and always have
it’s even funnier when self proclaimed communists support this industry (do they genuinely not see what they’re doing or is it a cope?)

detrans/desisted people will be called "transphobic", almost no matter what we say, and there are a few things to keep in mind that may help you navigate such occasions with less anxiety and self doubt, and make you more effective in sharing your message.
its only natural to want to fight or shy away from accusations that carry such social power, especially when they arent true. chances are you dont feel any hatred or animosity against people purely for experiencing gender dysphoria or identifying as trans.
you dont want to hurt people, especially since you used to be like them, but youre being cast as someone who wants to hurt people anyway, no matter what you say.

why is that?
