Let's put a few questions to @IainTRankin on Twitter!
What would you say to the growing number of Nova Scotians who are losing faith in their institutions as the slow drip of revelations about the RCMP over the course of months has in recent days turned into a firehose...
...taking into account what the leaked 911 calls revealed about what the RCMP knew before 10:30pm on April 18, and the questions raised about the SIRT investigation into the takedown of Gabriel Wortman at the Big Stop on April 19?
Considering its well-known connections to the RCMP, do you have faith that the Mass Casualty Commission has the ability and the will to hold the RCMP to account? Are we gonna need an Inquiry into the Inquiry, maybe?
Have you watched the gas station security videos, have you read the eyewitness testimony that corroborates the videos, and what's your opinion on what they show, and does your government continue to have confidence in Felix Cacchione as head of SIRT? Please explain why.
With the release of the gas station security tapes, is your government going to have to open up another investigation into privacy breaches and whatnot? Perhaps the leaked videos don't properly respect the privacy of the Mounties, or Gabriel Wortman?
Could you give your thoughts on statements from the RCMP and some of your own cabinet ministers, regarding potential or real investigations into a media outlet for doing what it's supposed to do, holding power to account with public service journalism?

An eagle-eyed Mountie with a "big cop brain" didn't just happen upon Gabriel Wortman at the Irving Big Stop in Enfield. Security tapes and eyewitnesses say @RCMPNS tracked him there, and killed him.
Why does SIRT say otherwise?
Recall that the Mounties initially said they had taken Wortman "into custody", and allowed the public to believe that for hours on April 19.
Seemed like a minor point at the time, brushed off by the RCMP as a semantics thing, and technically true, they argued.
And in the scheme of things, it is a minor point. But there's nothing minor about this story, and these gas station security tapes, leaked to Frank by a confidential source we've dubbed True Blue.

What if they threw a State of Emergency and nobody came?
Try as I might, I was unable to find an exemption for large street gatherings in the updated Health Protection Act orders issued on May 29.
And yet, nobody in any official capacity sees fit to point out that large protests, with or without social distancing, are verboten under the State of Emergency, which is still ongoing.

Hearing rave reviews about the application process for Stephen McNeil's COVID-19 financial assistance measures.
Hold on, sorry, there's a typo in that first sentence. Misspelled terrible. Hearing terrible reviews about the application process for Stephen McNeil's COVID-19 financial assistance measures. Fixed it. That's better.
McNeil initially hoped the Worker Emergency Bridge Fund (one-time $1K payment for workers laid off because of COVID-19) and the Small Business COVID-19 impact grant ($5K grant for eligible small businesses) would be open April 6...

At trial, Sherri denied everything, and said the home care worker - who was there to take care of her following one of her gender-adjustment surgeries - actually propositioned her.
Outside court today, Sherri described the victim as "a danger and menace to society".
At trial, Sherri claimed to have known the victim from school, that they had grown up in Springhill together. This, despite their 17-year age difference.
Outside court today, Sherri said the victim, whose name is of course protected by a publication ban, is lying about her age.
Sherri's also upset about the coverage the story has attracted.
“I will get my name cleared. I want an apology within the next 72 hours. (The stories have) ruined my life”.
“My family and friends are starting to believe this”.

“When I get that surgery done, I’m going to be undetectable and unrecognizable. I’m having a whole change from head to foot”.
-Sherri Dawn Barrett outside of Dartmouth court today, on why her sentence for sexually assaulting her home care worker in 2018 doesn't matter.
Handed a conditional sentence – five months in the community (two months house arrest, three months curfew) followed by 18 months of probation – Sherri also says Provincial/Family Court Chief Judge Pam Williams is biased against trans women, much like society as a whole.
“I’m a trans woman and us trans women, LSGBTQY people get treated like dirt,” Sherri told Frank.
