Some of those who advocate UBI want to lift people out of poverty

Some of those who advocate it, will use it as a "personal responsibility" excuse, and not solve root causes of high drug prices, high rent prices, and low wages

Guess which one Andrew Yang's non profit is?
If your UBI plan or candidate is backed by billionaires - now you know why.
UBI can be a great vehicle to massive change. But done by libertarians, conservatives and corporate dems -- it's a gift for billionaires, who will watch public infrastructure crumble into cash gifts that just get reinvested in billionaires rather than public serving institutions.
"My rent is too high."

"My meds cost 5000x the price in Canada."

"My job is paying me less every year."

Oh? How did you spend your UBI? Maybe if you managed it better.

With Eric Adams' mayoral campaign panicking about revelations that he might live in New Jersey, Adams invited journalists to his NYC home and showed them this perfectly normal bed that wasn't just moved into the perfectly normal middle of this room.
Here is a perfectly normal corner sectional from the larger set in front of the fire place for some summer fun.
Perfectly normal brand new curtains just unfolded from the box from Kohl's.

There is a cost benefit analysis for each seat.

1 has easy exit and crutch like armpit support to hold you up that Monday morning. But it’s where your iPhone is swiped and where someone decides the rail is shelf for their ass.
2 is the best way to slide into a 1 eventually. But the cost is total vigilance. You must simultaneously be aware of each thigh and shoulder and bow your head to anyone who accesses the map behind you as if they were a prince.
If u can fit, 4 is the long haul spot. With human shields all around, usually too inaccessible to give up to someone, and your shoulder and head supported by glass, you embrace the ride and the city itself is your shell from the city. The person here has seen a lot on this ride.

Artist and rapper @TamerNafar demonstrates how useless it is for Palestinian citizens of Israel in Lyd to call police when Jewish lynch mobs show up for them. Why? Because they are joining them or ignoring them.

It is time for an international presence before it’s too late.
Lyd is in central Israel. Many from these lynch mobs are settler Jews who momentarily left West Bank so they can now go after Palestinian citizens of Israel too. Some of the police are also called from West Bank, who Netanyahu told not to worry about human rights violations.
A state of emergency was declared in Lyd, and with it a curfew. One that seems to only apply to Palestinians because these armed Jewish settlers and mobs use the evenings to March unimpeded through neighborhoods. Police themselves have been joining them.

That time Indian immigrants were detained in Scotland by a border agency, and a few Glasgow organizers surrounded cops to block them, and spread word until hundreds more joined them for an 8 hour stand off, eventually freeing the pair.

Witness the full size of this Scottish crowd on #KenmureStreet, a model for solidarity for all of us.

Recently Netanyahu called on Israeli police “not to worry” about human rights inquisitions as he called them from West Bank into Israeli towns.

Here they are randomly attacking Israeli citizens who are Palestinian in cars.

Town of Umm al-Fahm.

Each time you will notice Israeli police approach the car window to see if the driver is Palestinian before provoking them with language, by damaging their car or shooting projectiles at them as they drive away.
The Israeli town of Umm al-Fahm is famously majority Palestinian with a Palestinian mayor. And already under legal threat by Israel’s new nation state law, which casts towns with majority Palestinian Israeli citizens as something that needs racial intervention to correct.
