🧵When you see or hear about children being dropped over the wall:
2) You should equate it with this: google.com/amp/s/amp.theg…
3) No, there are not ovens, but there are concentration camps for asylum seekers. They’re called “detention facilities.” They are concentration camps. We concentrate undocumented migrants there. And no, we are not actively killing them. We are passively killing them.

As a former agent, I’m telling you this is a tactic used by CBP all the time. They love to hit dog it and sit low on migrants and protesters to scare them. It is dangerous bc debris flies. They think it’s funny. 1)
2) Remember when @USBPChief ordered women & children tear gassed while they were in Mexico? Bc his agents are afraid of women & children. Helicopters were used to spread the tear gas over families. @Pedroconsafos witnessed it.
3) “AFSC staff witnessed a low-flying Customs and Border Protection helicopter using the downdraft from its rotors to spread the reach of the teargas cloud into the canal on Mexican territory, where many of the migrants were gathered.”

🧵 Received this SOS this morning. @USBPChiefRGV @USBPChief @RepCuellar @HispanicCaucus if you can help, please DM me for their phone numbers.

“Los sobrinos de una amiga de Honduras cruzaron frontera en EEUU y se comunicaron por última vez el miércoles pasado,
2) “en la comunicación dijeron que el tercer compañero había muerto
Ahora la familia esta desesperada queriendo información sobre ellos

Podemos hacer circular la información con defensores de DDHH en EEUU para verificar en centros de detención?

Iban de Mcallen rumbo a Houston”
3) “The nephews of a friend from Honduras crossed the border into the United States and communicated for the last time last Wednesday, in the communication they said that the third companion had died
Now the family is desperate wanting information about them.”

Thread with translation below about @CBPSanDiego barring two American children from entering and joining their father in Georgia: eldiariony.com/2021/05/30/reg…
2) "A Honduran woman with two daughters with US passports returned to California on Saturday, 69 days after the Border Patrol expelled them to Mexico, considering that they were not eligible to enter the country despite being citizens."
3) "'It is not legal that they do not allow my daughters to enter their country,' the undocumented Honduran Gladys Alvarenga, mother of Naydelyn and Vianela, 12 and 10 years old, respectively, and American by birth, told Efe."

🧵Okay, I’ve been asked for more info on my talk with @CBPSanDiego officer yesterday. So, here it is. I noticed this agent had spotted my shirt when I was about two people from him in the inspection line. He kept staring at me, shaking his head. So, when it was my turn, I gave
2) him my passport card. Without a word he flicked his hand towards a camera. I said, “I’m sorry, I don’t understand you.” He replied, “The camera.” Now you should now that I always am polite & calm with officers & agents. Always. I am also a white, nearly 50 year old
3) former Border Patrol agent who is not afraid of them. I carry a fair amount of privilege. I said, “Oh no sir. I chose to opt out.” @CBP is constantly taking video & pics as we stand there waiting. Then they have the nerve to want more. It’s invasive and unnecessary.

🧵 At the largest Port in the world, San Ysidro, @CBPSanDiego we have one single file line for the entire port. They hide behind razor wire. Where I am standing is a wall. To the left is the car traffic. The line stretches into the neighboring streets & snakes around forever.
2) As you can imagine, people are pissed. You have Americans & residents pissed about waiting hours just because they came down for their meds, mentally unstable people who hang around the port, vendors, asylum seekers, the handicapped all waiting.
3) It’s actually quite dangerous for the @CBPSanDiego officers. I have witnessed Americans yelling & cursing them, a mentally ill man holding up the line demanding to be let in and young Americans cursing them out. It is a stressful situation for all. I cannot believe something
