Nice. Watching this.

Just recently re read crypto currents by land last week
this goes into a lot of detail, the paper itself explores alot of the philosophical and economic ramifications of crypto and bitcoin.

i think however the paper is too entrenched in economics rather the technological ramifications, but not a fatal sin.
some points i disagree with, said

"keynes ruined everything" - Keynes didnt advocate for eternal stimulus

"bitcoin create objective truth" - it creates a version of the truth, it doesnt diminish alternate chain histories... clashes can happen all the time. (oracle)
a really good point espoused is

"deleuzian thought" - the real vs virtual as it touches on the crypto tokenisation of everything, but i wouldnt stop there, this was the problem of the structuralists, and even modernists

bitcoin proposes a new problem in language.
a token vs a synthetic token which is a representation of a "real world asset" (RWA), also has other issues that can now be economised, all abstractions will be on chain and numerated.

another point of contention i disagree with is.

again going back to my point on truth has *not* been objectively put on chain

bitcoin is *not* bitcoin, many versions of bitcoin exist, reality wont be singular as land and metanomad say

itll fracalise, even more. (via tokens)
communication is the largest problem, although the solution proposed by blockchain as a way to create better communication doesnt erode all the issues involved in language and communication in general, its still a human "bug"

got essays on this

i think the source paper that metanomad was reading is outdated, although it was seriously ahead of its time when it was initially released. but the technology and trends have slightly shifted, much like how ppl in the 80s, misinterpreted modern day technologies.
"this century will be known as deleuzian" - Foucault

communication, modern day technology is cantered on communication

twitter, the internet, even p2p transactions... u need to be able to fundamentally exchange *information*

There’s a concept called bitcoin Time.

I think it’s touched up on in crypto currents.

But I am starting to doubt it.

I think it can work but it’s not set in stone.

ON THE TOKENISATION OF TGE INTERNET.

@a16z Podcast: Why Crypto Tokens Matter by a16z on #SoundCloud soundcloud.app.goo.gl/DvxsH8DPpUW8xv…
Pretty informative. But one contention is conflation in price n value. Price is an abstract signifier
They also talk about how crypto is ultimately a reshaping of the foundations and protocols of the internet

They talk about economising the internet where value is transacted as a base layer rather than on top

Let’s see if we can build something that can make corporations obsolete.

🍄
You know why dinosaurs n insects grew so large?

It was because of high amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere.

As fungus didn’t break down lignin in trees.

@meta_spore is trying to do the same to corporations.

Corporate entities need better liquidity.
Corporations are dinosaurs. They shouldn’t exist in the modern world.

Liquidity and exchange of goods and services should be peer to peer.

When Adam smith envisioned the invisible hand guiding the baker he didn’t see these mega structures

reading the @Polkadot light paper currently

one thing sticks out to me

"Will there eventually be one blockchain to
rule them all? We don’t think so."

ill post my thoughts in this thread
@Polkadot first couple pages espouse the philosophy of the polkadot system

one of Interoperability

it does this via "sharding"
@Polkadot i think this is a good move for the crypto space and why i dont think one chain will rule them but rather chains and networks operate like websites and platforms

"More chains and more specialization means
more possibilities for innovation."- @Polkadot

Cover Strauss Marx and Zizek

Social Distortions | Ideology and the Real in America by Peter-Rollins on #SoundCloud soundcloud.app.goo.gl/ao3GtKiZtj3cgH…
The real does not exist but rather Is an antagonism according to Strauss.
The presenter does a great job at the start outlining the symptoms. And the conclusion. But he makes the wrong medicine. He outlines how ideology and the “map” is unreal as reality is subjective but then he makes the mistake of trying to rectify it. But outlining the problem …

Yeah I seriously doubt the situation in xinjiang.

I haven’t seen any reliable evidence of china’s misdeeds.
Yea I’m sure China aren’t saints.

But I don’t think it is as bad the western propaganda machine makes out

America still has a lot more blood on its hands imo
Doubt it because trump got ousted because he wasn’t as harsh on China as the deep state wanted him to be.

China is a threat to the deep state soros elite.

Soros’ man got caught by China iirc

THE REMITTANCE ECONOMY IN 2019 ~$715 BILLION
2. BITCOIN ALLOWS FOR MUCH CHEAPER TRANSFER OF MONEY

MOST REMITTANCE SERVICES (I PAY ALOT OF OFF SHORE PEOPLE), HAVE HUGE TRANSACTION FEES

SOME OF THE TRANSACTION FEES ARE HIGHER THAN A DAYS WAGE FOR A LOT OF THESE FORIEGN WORKERS

CRYPTO ALLOWS CHEAPER TRANSACTIONS
