Well, I got the same email last year, after my reporting Delhi riots. But I neither knew not intended to milk it
Checked my email. I have got five similar emails from Twitter, most of them for Delhi riots reporting.
One of them was for posting the video of Vinod Kashyap lying on road after a mob attack during Delhi riots. Here’s my report on the case

On the left is the email to @MANJULtoons. On the right is the email to me. It’s the same.

Hope no one is taking the Indian Express report about a Kerala woman, Savitha, found living ‘secretly’ in house next door for 11 years, at face value. The reporter seems to have regurgitated police version, which seems to be based on the initial version of Rahman’s family +
Even without firsthand knowledge of the case, I can see that Savitha eloped 11 years ago and police didn’t find her. If she was indeed 18 then as reported, she should have been tracked and brought to the magistrate for statement of consent. Clearly, that wasn’t done that time
For police, matter is closed after the woman's statement to magistrate now. And version of Rahman's family that didn't know of her existence, too, is convenient to the police. I wish some reporter goes to Sajitha's family and ask them what happened after she went missing

It's one thing to say 'I will go to high court' & quite another to execute it.
Nikita Tomar's father has had to run from pillar to post to get govt authorities appeal against "weak" punishment given to Tausif. It is state govt that has to appeal against sessions court verdict
He called me up and told me all about it. How files move from one govt dept to another till a formal appeal is filed. The case is State of Haryana versus Tausif and others
Nikita’s father Moolchand deserves appreciation for putting all possible efforts in seeing that her killer gets highest punishment. He has read up on the law, has worked hard on documents, met every govt authority he needed to. Most families give up after lower court verdict

A Hindu woman from Pakistan, living as a refugee in India, had a very bad encounter with a man from the same community that rules Pakistan. He asked her for sexual favour to get a simple job done. Will share details soon, but she is traumatised. It must indeed be traumatising
The woman, a Hindu from Pakistan living as a refugee, approached a clothes dealer through Indiamart. She has got sewing machines with help of an NGO, but is looking for work. Dealer Sayyad Ali asked her to give him “2 hours” in “hotel or in his room” as commission to get her work
This can happen with any woman. Society is indeed full of such perverts irrespective of their name or community. Just that this happening with a Hindu refugee woman who fled Pakistan out of fear of its majority community, facing the same in India is disturbing at another level

Salman Hussain, a native of UP, is accused of befriending a girl, clicking intimate pictures with her and posting them on his Facebook profile along her mobile number and obscene comments. Her brother told us she is a minor and Salman has not been arrested yet
Attn: @FBDPolice
Her brother told us that Salman had an argument and disagreement with him over an issue some months ago. In revenge, he befriended his sister and did all this to humiliate the family
What I know so far is that an FIR was filed on May 26 in Faridabad under POCSO and IT Act.

The trigger behind violence on Dalits in Nurpur over taking our baraat is a centuries-old issue: insistence of no music outside mosques

Ambedkar documented in his book on Pakistan that cow slaughter & music outside mosques were two prime reasons for communal riots even in 1920s
Ambedkar criticised this insistence on no music outside mosques. He wrote in the same book that music may be played before mosque in all Muslim countries, but in India, the Muslims insist on its stoppage for no reason except that the Hindus claim a right to it.
Om Prakash, whose daughter's baraat was attacked a week ago when it passed by the mosque, talks to our team member. The real issue, as I write above, is music in front of mosque. An FIR was filed after Om Prakash's complaint after the attack
