Snipers are some of the unheralded heroes on the Nigerian army thanks to the secret nature of their operations. 
Sniping is not all about shooting and killing. It may suprise many to know that the first job of a sniper is to gather lifetime information of the battlefield.

..of sustained artillery bombardment. Now get this, one sniper remained on the same spot, the same position for two days. To urinate he dug a hole between his legs. Of course it gets to the point where you do need a poop. You cant really move. You have to keep eye on the scope.
They work as a pair..so..details on how they solve the problem not really necessary. So thats how important snipers are.
Nigerian snipers are reputed to be among the best trained and best armed in the world. Trained by Special Forces troops of the California Army National Guard who were in Nigeria to train a newly formed AFSF infantry battalion designed specifically to counter Boko Haram.
It was a first for the U.S. Army. Now, U.S. troops have previously trained Nigerian battalions in the past, but this time the Nigerian army requested full spectrum operational training for its new 650 man Sniper battalion for the AFSF.
