1/9 I found this report online from @AtomicCherry & I couldn't resist to share it.
For all who are interested on 🇷🇺UAVs&UAVs. The shots below show the internal components of the UAV Orlan-10:
Internal combustion engine with ignition module 4.8-9V, 500mA manufactured by 🇯🇵SAITO.
2/9 The flight controller is based on the STM32F103 QFP100 microcircuit of the 🇫🇷-🇮🇹manufacturer STMicroelectronics. The MPXA4115A & MPXV5004DP microcircuits of the 🇺🇸company Freescale Semiconductor (currently owned by the 🇳🇱NXP Semiconductors NV) are used as pressure sensors.
3/9 The HMC6352 compass sensor was manufactured by the 🇺🇸American company Honeywell.
4/9 The GPS module is based on the GLONASS / GPS / QZSS LEA-6N receiver of the Swiss company u-blox paired with the Russian MNP-M7 (built on the American ADSP-BF534 chip manufactured by Analog Devices).
5/9 The telemetry transmission module is built on the ATxmega256A3 microcontroller of the 🇺🇸company Microchip, the transmission range is 902-928 MHz. The RF3110 transmitter is manufactured by the 🇩🇪company Municom. Receiver DP1205-C915 manufactured by the 🇩🇪company AnyLink.
6/9 GPS tracker. ICs labelled HC4060 2H7A201 & STC 12LE5A32S2 35i were made in 🇨🇳China.
7/9 Starter-generator PTN78020 manufactured by the 🇺🇸American company Texas Instruments Incorporated .
8/9 “The composition of the components of the majority of 🇷🇺Russian UAVs has long been no secret for Western countries. At least 10 military UAVs were removed by the 🇺🇸American MTR from 🇸🇾Syria only according to official data (the first was captured back in 2015). […]”
9/9 […]At least 8 - from the east of 🇺🇦Ukraine (at least one of them was raised in the Sea of Azov - this, by the way, explains the constant presence of 🇺🇸American and 🇬🇧British combat swimmers there).”

1/6🧵 CCTV published an urban warfare exercise clip.
The clip was extremely short (10-12sec) so very limited content to observe.
They were🇨🇳PLAGF units from the Central Theater Command.
There were some interesting trends:
-The exercise included some semi-demolished buildings...
2/6 ... for first time, although general rubble was still missing.
-It involved a number of armoured vehicles (probably a Company or two) of ZBD-04A IFV with anti-UAV cope cages with no UAVs involved.
-Dismounted infantry with plenty of support weapon systems (such as rocket...
3/6 ...launchers) collaborated with the armoured vehicles.
-They seemed to train not only the assault & defend of the urban area, but also the approach of the town (which is blocked by rubble, forcing them to look for an alternative route).
-Some individual obstacles could be...
THREAD 1/13 In mid-January 2024, I was invited by the @ukinspain & @DefenceHQ to a British training camp where the Ukrainian soldiers were trained. Here is the full article. For those without much time/subscription, here are some bullet points: revistaejercitos.com/en/articulos/l…
2/13 Ukraine needs troops, but they cannot train at their ideal pace. Attrition is high and their training camps are already overstretched. The content is also critical. The UK is helping through Operation Interflex, which provides with trench & urban warfare training.
3/13 The idea is to train troops to a basic level, but prepare them for the threads and environments they will find. It includes a lot of tactical training, but also in other aspects. 'Inoculation' is a key aspect, trying to replicate the physicological shock of the battlefield..
1/4 First operational shots of what seems to be the large high-subsonic JY260 target UAVs (ID #24-066 & 24-064) during an exercise launched from the🇨🇳PLAN Type 071 Changbai Shan (989) amphibious transport dock. Supposed to simulate 3rd&4th-gen fighter & cruise missiles...
2/4 ...the body looks very similar to the NRIST II-260 with a nose closer to the II-150Y UAV.
It has wing tips similar to the WJ-500 target UAV.
Features (via SinoDefenseForum):
"Length: 4m
Wingspan: 1.6m
Takeoff weight: 190+ kg
Max level speed: 270m/s

Endurance: 70 min
Remote control radius: 150km
Capable of swarm/formation flying: a formation of 16 drones flying at 30m apart can be controlled from a single console (?).

On 06/07/2023 CCTV, 砺剑dedicated a 26min episode to the 122mm PHL-11/SR-4 medium-range Multiple Launch Rocket System.
The episode was focused on a 🇨🇳PLAGF 71st Group Army Synthetic Brigade in the Eastern TC.
2/28
The episode showed a Company-based salvo training live ammunition indirect shooting drill.
The Company unit was formed by 4 vehicles. Each vehicle was manned by 3 individuals. However, during the video, a full Battalion, formed by 11 vehicles (plus a C&C one), was seen.
3/28
All the Battalion could be seen moving into position and splitting into Companies. The Companies were deployed in position to train different target engagement methods.
