#OperationKayakalp
Those who have seen/studied in govt Primary Schools of UP would know the pathetic condition of schools few years back.
- Crumbling buildings
- No toilets, drinking water, electricity
- Absent teachers
Things are changing now, pics from a model govt school👇
What all changed in last 4 years?
~ Operation Kayakalp initiated to improve basic facilities in schools
~ facilities upgraded in over 1.39 lakh schools
~ 15-20 model schools developed in each district
~ Total 1000+ model schools developed

Facilities upgraded in these schools like:
~ renovated buildings
~ toilets
~ kitchen
~ libraries
~ drinking water
~ playgrounds
~ electricity
~ smart classrooms

Besides above students are also being provided:
~ books
~ school bags
~ shoes
~ socks
~ sweaters
all free of cost.
This is to ensure that children are not deprived of education for the lack of anything.

Infrastructure apart, state government also recruited over 1.25 lakhs teachers for primary schools only.
Previously, many schools were running with only one teacher.
This is changed now thanks to the massive recruitment drive undertaken by Yogi govt.

Results so far indicate that Operation Kayakalp has been a huge success:
~ over 1000 model schools developed
~ over 5000 smart classrooms
~ enrollment rises to over 1.85 crores in 2020-21
~ first time ‘admission closed’ notice was seen at many schools
👇pics from one such school
These changes look very basic in nature. But those who know UP will understand that even these amenities are no less than dream for students.
This shows the dismal performance of previous governments over many decades.
Yogi Govt is determined to change this.

Additionally, special focus is given on imparting Sanskrit education to children:
~ 1151 secondary schools imparting Sanskrit education
~ over 88 thousands students enrolled in these schools

During Covid lock-down government started e-Schools:
~ Mission Prerna YouTube channel launched
~ 67.73 lakhs students benefited from virtual classes
~ virtual classes conducted through TV programs & WhatsApp

This is just the beginning as fixing the basics are most challenging part.
Hoping that transformation continues & Yogi Sarkar is able to further develop these schools according to the expectations of 21st century India.

In one week from now, the largest religious festival ever happened on this earth will begin in Prayagraj.
The Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati Sangam will witness an unprecedented show of devotion, faith, and humanity.
A thread on what it means.
First the context!
Mahakumbh is organized every 12 years at 4 places ~ Prayagraj, Ujjain, Nashik & Haridwar.
Why 4 places? It is because during Samudra Manthan, the Amrit drops from the Kumbh fell in these 4 locations.
Why 12 years? Because Jupiter takes 12 years to orbit around the Sun.
Prayagraj Kumbh is organized when Jupiter is in Taurus, the Sun, Moon are in Capricorn.
Now the scale.
This year's Maha Kumbh is special as planetary alignment are auspicious which happens once in 144 years only:
🔸4,000 hectares Mela Area
🔸40 crores devotees expected to come
🔸Rs 6,382 crores budget allocated by the government
🔸Mela Kshetra is declared as 76th district of UP with all administrative powers of a DM given to Mela Adhikari.
