omg #tjpw is actually trending, so I will help by live-tweeting tonight's show. To start, Kaya Toribami & Haruna Neko are teaming together today. A birdgirl and catgirl working together?! You will only see this in the world of #tjpw, folks
Their opponents are Arisu Endo and Suzume. You won't BEElieve what Suzume can do in the ring. Follow along to see what all the buzz is about. 🐝🐝 @suzume_tjpw#tjpw
@haruna_tjpw dodges a grapple attempt by Arisu Endo & COUNTERS with a double-pawed scratch to the face. When entering a combat sport against a catgirl, it's important to remember that their claws are considered a natural extension of their body, and thus, completely legal! #tjpw
Neko is in trouble, but she has tagged her bird friend, Kaya Toribami! Kaya flies into the ring with a high-velocity dropkick, as birdgirls are known to do when provoked. Kaya only debuted last month, and so far, is very good! @toribami_tjpw#tjpw
Suzume has been tagged in, and now it is Bee vs. Bird! Going to tell my kids this is the birds and the bees. #tjpw
HARUNA NEKO picks up the pin after a devastating rolling codebreaker. Neko has improved so much, and she has only recently been winning matches. This rolling attack, in particular, reminds a lot of Felicia from Darkstalkers! #tjpw
If a catgirl and a birdgirl can put aside their differences to work together towards a common goal, then perhaps the world isn't so bad afterall. #tjpw
NEXT: ⚡️Nodoka Tenma takes on Mahiro Kiryu. Mahiro is a good, well-rounded competitor while Nodoka is best described as "an absolute unit". Nodoka usually tags with her sister, but today will prove herself in single's competition! #tjpw
*record scratch*
"Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got myself in this situation" #tjpw
Nodoka lands a killswitch on Mahiro for the pin and a convincing win. She was just too powerful! ⚡️ #tjpw
We now get to see Yuki Arai in action! Yuki is very new to wrestling, but she is seen as a top prospect in #TJPW due to her successful career as an idol in AKB48. She's a natural performer, and her entrance music is a banger - sounds like something from a J-RPG. #tjpw
Hard to say much about Yuki's opponent, Moka Miyamoto, here as this match was clearly just a showcase for Yuki. Yuki definitely has SOMETHING though, and the audience popped hard when she won. I believe this marks her first single's victory in TJPW. #tjpw
The semi-main event is Hikari Noa (C) vs. Raku for the International Princess Championship, the 2nd most important belt in TJPW. Hikari Noa is one of the best pure wrestlers on the roster. Raku loves trains and sleeping!🚂💤#tjpw
Raku manages to set up Hikari for her finishing move very early in the match. Raku's finisher, THE GOODNIGHT EXPRESS, has to be seen to be believed. Probably my favorite move in all of professional wrestling today. #tjpw

Captain Planet was ratings poison for Cartoon Network, but they were required to air it by Turner. It became a game to figure out where to put it on the schedule to where it would do the least amount of damage.
I feel like I've seen the opening theme a thousand times, but I don't recall ever sitting through a full episode of Captain Planet. Instant channel-changer, and not because of "woke", it was because it was boring & unappealing.
Something like The Magic School Bus was pretty woke & educational, but the difference is that it was actually a good cartoon. Or should I say, a good bustoon
What's most interesting is that, in America, Mega Man is probably more well-known than any of those properties. In Japan, the influence is much more inherently understood.
If you like Mega Man Legends, consider adding Future Boy Conan to your watchlist. The influence is apparent.
Another reminder that Japanese pro wrestling does "live-action anime" better than Netflix. These are the Tag Team champions.
This is team NEO Biishiki-gun from Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. TJPW is part of the WrestleUniverse streaming service, which is free for new subscribers until the end of the year. Please check it out here:
I don't know who made this, but I'm now reminded every day that they've basically rewritten Naoko Takeuchi's personal history in the public consciousness for the sake of social media engagements with only a single post, and that's so bizarre. Is it that easy to do?
hold on, gang
By the time Naoko Takeuchi began Sailor Moon, she was already a well-respected award-winning artist, having already written three series along with a handful of one-shot stories. She also had many friends, which is what inspired her to write a girl team-up manga to begin with.
