NEWS: Adam Jonas Just Put Out An Extensive 17 page Research Report on $TSLA Aviation:
"The chance that Tesla doesn't ultimately offer products & services to the eVTOL/UAM market is remote. The potential skills transferability & network adjacencies are too strong to ignore"

"Based on our global eVTOL/UAM model (a $9tn TAM by 2050), discounted back to the present on a per-share basis, we’re coming up with potential preliminary outcomes on the order of $100 per Tesla share on low-end to approximately $1,000 per Tesla share (or more) on the high end."

5/17: "We estimate Tesla battery production to be in the range of 500GWh to 1TWh by 2030."
"Tesla's arguably the most vertically integrated auto manufacturer in the world; We look at the opening of manufacturing in Berlin/Austin as an opportunity to demonstrate how much more efficient their manufacturing process can be compared to Fremont & even compared to Shanghai"

9/17: "Our key message to investors: Temper your excitement with patience. The market opportunity for eVTOL/UAM could be far bigger than you think, but we believe it may require decades to reach high volume commercialization"

NEWS: @elonmusk says the Starship pad damage is quite small and will be repaired quickly. He added the vehicle structural margins appeared to be better than expected.
"From a pad and rocket standpoint, we are probably ready to relaunch in 6-8 weeks."
Elon says at liftoff there were 3 engines SpaceX chose not to start. "The system didn't think they were healthy enough to launch with."
SpaceX did not see obvious evidence of the "rock tornado" damaging engines or heat shields. For the next flight, Starship will take off faster. Engines on booster 9 are newer, more consistent and more reliable compared to booster 7.
BREAKING: Magnis Energy directly reached out to me & confirmed they have signed an offtake deal with @Tesla to supply a minimum of 17,500 tonnes per annum of active anode battery material beginning in February 2025 for a minimum term of 3 years at a fixed price.
The material will come from Magnis’s proposed US production plant. The agreement contains an option for Tesla to increase up to 35,000 tpa. The agreement is conditional on Magnis securing a final location for its commercial AAM facility by 30 June 2023, etc.

NEWS: For the first time ever, @Tesla has overtaken BMW to claim the title of the top luxury car brand in the US for 2022.

"Not only do luxury buyers want EVs, but the one that only sells EV is now the sales leader" Jominy told Auto News. Tesla's sales sweep sends a message to the industry: "If you want to be at the top of the luxury segment, you've got to beat Tesla, & you've got to do it with EVs"
BREAKING: @Tesla China VP, Tao Lin, says that Tesla lowering prices recently reflects their estimated future costs.
"The biggest difference between 2023 & last year is that the epidemic has basically passed. We believe that the supply chain has returned to a large extent..

...and there will be no unpredictable shortage of such materials as in previous years, which will bring uncertainty in cost."

She went on to say: "Personally, I think the price adjustment reflects in a sense our better plan for the supply chain. What level of vehicle cost will be, and then we will make such adjustments according to this estimate.
