Wenn das stimmt, ist es ein gigantisches Versagen seitens der Behörden und Politik:
Anfang der 2000er Jahre wurde das EFAS eingerichtet, das European Flood Awareness System. 2014 hatte es geholfen, viele Menschenleben zu retten, als es in Südosteuropa Überflutungen gab.
Auch dieses Mal hat das EFAS-System eigentlich funktioniert und rechtzeitig Behörden und Politik gewarnt mit sehr genauen Informationen darüber, wo die Fluten stattfinden würden (und dann auch stattfanden). Nur leider wurden die Warnungen nicht and die Bevölkerung weitergegeben.

DWD-Meteorologe Marcus Beyer (@meteomabe) hat berechtigte Fragen gestellt:

Was sind die Warnungen wert, wenn so viele Menschen sterben? Hätte man nicht anders reagieren können, im Wissen um das, was passieren wird? Hätte dies verhindert werden können?

Die Regierungen in NRW und Bayern unter Laschet und Söder haben 2019 beschlossen, Hochwasseropfern keine finanzielle Soforthilfe mehr zu gestatten. Der Grund: Wegen des Klimawandels kommt es zu immer mehr Katastrophen, daher zu teuer.
Nun will Laschet (angesichts der Bundestagswahl) doch Soforthilfen gewähren lassen, allerdings nicht unbürokratisch für alle sondern in Form von Steuerabschreibungen. Wer also nichts oder wenig verdient, soll leer ausgehen, schreibt die @fr:

In Japan ist das eine sehr angesehe Wirtschaftszeitung, vergleichbar mit dem @handelsblatt in Deutschland.

Wer genauer hinschaut, erkennt, dass der Ausstoß verursacht durch fossile Brennstoffe in Orange dargestellt wird, verbrennende Biomasse in Rot, Landökosysteme in Grün und der Ozean in Blau.
Die Punkte auf der Oberfläche zeigen auch, wie das atmosphärische CO2 von den Landökosystemen, grün und blau, wieder aufgenommen wird - vor allem auf der Südhalbkugel. (Danke!)

Don't be afraid of making mistakes!

I have built teams many times in my career, and if there is one thing I have learned, it is to take away the fear of making mistakes.

1. the employees know that I stand by them.

2. they feel more comfortable in the company.

3. they dare.
As a German with Croatian parents, I have long been a fan of the Croatian national football team. Especially of Luka Modrić. In one scene of the documentary "Captains", Luka talks to the Croatian national goalkeeper Dominik Livaković. He is afraid of making mistakes.
What Luka tells him seems easy to say, but when it comes from your captain, it has meaning:

"Why can't you make a mistake? Everybody makes mistakes," Luka says. "Your problem is that you are afraid to make them. Who doesn't make mistakes? Please name one person."

Ein batteriebetriebenes E-Auto kann mit 15kWh daher 100km fahren kann, ein Auto mit #eFuels nur 20km.

➡️ Autos, die mit eFuels betrieben werden, bleiben auf absehbare Zeit (Jahrzehnte) deutlich teurer als E-Autos.
