Unfortunately, posting anonymously contradicts my principles, but being a counselor, I have an ethical responsibility to avoid influencing my clients via my specific beliefs and values. I grew up and live in middle America... 1/x
...where people have seen family farms gobbled up by corporate farms, manufacturing plants sit empty, and everyone has a family member or friend who’s overdosed on heroin within the last 10 years. 2/x
The point where the bible belt meets the rust belt in the breadbasket of America, it's the Heartland, known recently as being full of those Anti Vaxxers who've only declined one vaccine in their lives, the COVID vaccine. 3/x
The vaccines have been portrayed as having gone through all the necessary processes to prove their safety and efficacy. But the obvious fact is, they haven't. It's due to an unavoidable limitation: Time. 4/x
This has a number of implications, but the relevant fact is that at best, this means they are, technically speaking, in FDA Clinical Research Trial Phase 3. That’s by their own standards.
fda.gov/patients/drug-… 5/x
As such, it DOES mean that the vaccinations are EXPERIMENTAL, so it dawned on me, "That means anyone who is vaccinated is participating in a pharmacological experiment, which requires uncoerced voluntary participation and fully informed consent." 6/x
These are ethical standards that were established by the Nuremberg Code (1947) in the aftermath of the Jews forced participation in experimental atrocities committed by the Nazi’s, justified by medical advancement.

(Aside) Read Operation Paperclip (Jacobson, 2014) if you’re curious about the things humans are willing to do to other humans what humans in the name of science and medical advancement. 8/x
Familiar with research ethics through my education, I’ve been telling my friends and family for months the coercion and incentivisation aimed to promote vax are grave violations of research ethics and human rights. 9/x
Then this twitter moment appears: "COVID-19 vaccines do not violate the World War II-era Nuremberg Code, according to fact-checkers" twitter.com/i/events/14131… 10/x
So you must ask yourself, given the confidence level conveyed by the media, big tech, and medical experts, why would it be necessary to assure people that we aren’t doing the same thing the Nazi’s did? 11/x
Let me be clear, this is not to say the vaccines don't work or that they won't prove long-term efficacy. Considering the number of people vaxxed so far, I hope they do. But TIME inherently limits the confidence in our analysis. 12/x
For this reason, the information necessary to determine any long term effects of the vaccines simply doesn’t exist, yet the message is that the vaccines are remarkably safe with no long-term adverse effects. 13/x
So again, why? Why would this be the message? There are a number of plausible explanations, and the fact that these discussions aren't presented to the public is very concerning to a population already mistrustful of bureaucratic federal entities and the media. 14/x
We've been lied to over and over, and we all know it. Worse still, they know we know we've been consistently lied to. This thread couldn't have been more accurate describing our experiences: 15/x
Policies implemented by bureaucratic means rather than legislative has been a primary concern throughout covid. And the burden of enforcement has fallen on local health departments who relay info, guidance, policies, etc. from the state health dept., guided by CDC & NIH. 16/x
When these local health dept. are questioned, they just shrug their shoulders and say, "We're just following ________'s guidance..." This is rarely a sufficient answer for most, because top-down governance is a big no no in this population. 17/x
This sentiment is more sophisticated than stubbornness; it's rooted in principle. It's that we take the idea of self-governance seriously. Our vote for Trump wasn’t FOR him; it was against all of DC. His flaws were mitigated by the fact that at least we knew what they were. 18/x
For example, no one saw the picture of him holding up a Bible and thought, "Oh thank goodness. He found faith," or, "Well, he must believe in God." It was received for what it was, a symbolic gesture communicating, "I have your back." 19/x
To say these are people so naive to believe they'd be duped into supporting anyone holding a Bible is an ignorant analysis, and a lazy one too. That we can get behind a figure so antithetical to our way of being should instead lead you to question how or why that could be. 20/x
Maybe it's because we feel just as exploited as the Bernie camp yet are told we are privileged. Maybe it's because we're labeled as selfish for prioritizing our families/local communities over DC and global interests. 21/x
The rules of "Wokestan'' and other authoritarian efforts like mask mandates are viewed as arbitrary forms of regulation. Most roll their eyes and go along with whatever isn't an immediate inconvenience or barrier to them living out their beliefs. 22/x
But should it come to be that legislation/policies are implemented that have such obvious potential, or worse, explicit intentions for discriminatory enforcement of compelled behavior... 23/x
...based on the assumption that government authorities have the answers and/or that we don't have the capacity to make calculated, responsible decisions relating to our well-being or that of our families, that will be the perceived line drawn in the sand. 24/x
Vaccine mandates and passports will undoubtedly create a 2 tiered caste system ripe for exploitation, and as such, the establishment regime and corporate media would be making their way across the Rubicon. I don't mean to sound hyperbolic, but it's a practical metaphor. 25/x
Big brother has been holding his finger a fractional inch away from our cheek for years, and to any objection, the response is, "But I'm not touching you..." And the longer that game goes on and the closer the finger gets to the cheek, the more volatile the outcome will be. 26/x
The thing is, we know our history and the ills that accompany it. We know the ideals America stands and strives for. We understand that suffering is a part of the human condition and that gratitude can mitigate that suffering. 27/x
We understand the importance of recognizing the consciousness and agency inherent in each individual. We understand that when OUR government doesn't recognize such, the American experiment doesn't work. 28/x
And it's becoming more and more apparent that maybe that's exactly what the establishment regime, corporate media, and technocrats want: a failed American experiment. 29/x
MAGA wasn't about recreating the social conditions of the past. It was about revitalizing the IDEALS that make us a beacon of hope; that value the diversity of ideas over immutable traits; that afford the opportunity to incrementally mitigate suffering across generations; 30/x
...that offers social and economic mobility; that is founded on a fundamental objection to tyranny; that presumes individuals innocent until proven guilty; that got us to the damn moon. 31/x
Obviously barriers exist, but efforts to eliminate those barriers at the expense of fundamental American ideals will be to our own peril. And we have an obligation to respond to such proposals with, "Not on my watch." 32/x
