One more thing :

Since 2018 pre

Upsc has change its strategy they were not asking topic which 'General study material' 'or from some go to book'

By analysing last 3 years paper of pre you have to Focus more on revision & " Elimination technique"

1/4
That doesn't mean you don't have to read Laxmikant or Nitin Singhania or spectrum etc..( it will help in elimination)

But focus should be
A. " how to enlarge your knowledge Canvas"

B. How to make smart strategy for revision

C. How to approach on current issue

some examples :
A. In 2020 pre upsc asked about - reserve tranche position ?

Why this ques -

Coz India's forex reserves going high so u need to learn deep about it.

B. Upsc asked in 2020 pre a question about elephant

Why ?

Coz there was a news of a killing of an elephant in kerla.

2/3
C. Upsc asked a ques about critical buffer area of tiger reserve

Why ?

At that time tiger census was in news.

And many more these types questions.

Don't think upsc ask random fact or ques.

They want us to think like bureaucrats that's why they designed this type q. 4/4
Add : Farms issue was in news that's why there is fair amount questions regarding Agriculture in CSP 2020.
