The White House scrubbed the text of Donald Trumps Social Media Executive Order from the whitehouse.gov website. I discovered the 404 error today when cleaning up broken links on my website.
Revoking an EO should not mean deleting American history on the official @WhiteHouse website. This is censorship at its finest.
They didn’t just revoke it. They deleted the original text of it, too. How can you report on something when @WhiteHouse is scrubbing the official legal text of the order? This is revisionist history.

I found a copy of Trumps original social media censorship executive order here to replace the dead link with. This is complete insanity that I had to search for Trumps EO because @WhiteHouse scrubbed it. reclaimthenet.org/trump-social-m…
How many other pages of US history have been deleted from the @WhiteHouse website? Did they really think we wouldn’t notice? I have a feeling this is the tip of the iceberg. I will be researching how many other pages have been scrubbed.

Screenshot on the right: My article on Section 230 on my website with the original WH link that needed to be replaced because it is now dead and a 404.
💡 It would be much easier for the @WhiteHouse web team to redirect dead links of the previous administration to the archive site instead of potentially creating thousands of 404’s.
For those who are saying every administration does this my point still remains the same: you have no way of knowing what pages have been dropped and perm. deleted in the migration from new admin to archive. Assuming everything is archived is not a good assumption to make.
Things can and *will* get dropped in the migration to the archived site. The question is: what?

Every American citizen should be focused on that instead of assuming each piece of content magically archives from one site to the next.
Do not focus on what is on the archived site of the previous administration.

Focus on what is missing from it.
Update: I have located the original EO on the archived site.

Takeaway of the day: @WhiteHouse has the worst content marketing and SEO strategy I have ever seen. Ever.

Final thoughts: I do not agree with the strategy to archive the previous admin content and create dead links. This makes for a terrible user experience. For ex, when it says Biden has revoked an EO, why not link to the archived page of the EO?
Compare Trumps original Social Media Censorship EO with this.
