It’s hard to hear a child talking through a mask. Maybe if you’ve never taught a young child to read, you don’t think this is a big deal. It is.
ECDC does not recommend masking in primary schools. The WHO doesn’t recommend masking kids under 6 and recommends limited mask use until age 12.
Adults working in schools who are terrified of young children infecting them — rare and normally adults infect children — should consider getting vaccinated. Good ventilation in the classroom will also help with all respiratory diseases.
