☦️ Thread: Are Aliens Demons?

Analysis from Orthodox Church Fathers and hierarchs on the nature of extra-terrestrials and supernatural space related events and how they pertain to the demonic.
First we must understand the nature of demons to understand how we can identify them. The Scriptures make it clear that the demons are fallen angels, those who allied with Satan against God. Demons are a type of angel that serve wickedness.
The Holy Apostle Paul tells us that our struggle is not of this world, but is otherworldly. He speaks of the spiritual wickedness that inhabits the air, that is to say, demons.
Demons are deceivers, accusers, manipulators. In all things they seek to distract us from God by any degree. They know their eternal fate, that's why they struggle to bring as many down to their sufferings as possible.
Even the demons perform miracles, or "lying wonders" from the working of Satan, so that they may be magnified. As Saint Augustine says, that they may be "the gods of the nations."
Once you look at what "aliens" are doing in all their sightings, you realize that they only serve to distract us, and sow discord. Why is it that all who claim to encounter aliens tend to go mad or become obsessed with the topic? They almost never turn to Jesus Christ.
All stories of Alien encounters have stories remarkably similar to things experienced by our Saints, who exposed their demonic deceptions. The Life of Saint Martin of Tours speaks of one such encounter.
UFO Abductions are also real, and they are real because they are demonic kidnappings.

Saint Nilus of Sora freed a young boy from one such demonic kidnapping.
Why do demons make use of UFO imagery or Aliens from science fiction?

Because they are deceivers. Whatever sounds even somewhat plausible to you, the demons will use to draw you from God and to worship them. Plenty of people believe in intelligent aliens but not demons.
Not only that, but the alien UFO imagery is not uncommon or even new. Demons have been masquerading as "aerial visitors on ships" since the 800s AD. Archbishop Agobard of Lyons in his "On Hail and Thunder" condemns the extraterrestrial beings who affect people and the world
He even makes mention of a phenomena similar sounding in nature to Crop Circles.

"In these ships the crops that fell because of hail and were lost in storms are carried back into that region; evidently these aerial sailors make a payment to the storm-makers,"
Intelligent aliens with rational souls could not possibly exist. Only mankind is made in the image of God and can receive God's salvation. Many think aliens could exist and should be evangelized, but they could not be evangelized. They cannot be saved.
Because of the oncoming secularism of the modern world, people have been abandoning Christianity and creating their own figures of worship. Sometimes it is celebrities, cryptids, sex, politicians, and even aliens.

Forgive me for posting, see below these examples.
And UFO Religions have become extremely popular nowadays. They're doing exactly what demons would do, direct focus from God to them. This is how we can identify demons.
These people seek salvation from demons, but only God offers salvation. As time goes on, many people will forget God and look to the skies for salvation. Saint Gabriel of Georgia predicted this.
"During the Antichrist times, the strongest temptation will be anticipation of salvation from the cosmos, from humanoids, extraterrestrials that are actually the demons. One should rarely look up at the sky, as the signs might be deceptive and thus one may be ruined."

St Gabriel
"If civilizations really existed on other planets, our Holy Scripture, the Bible, would definitely say something about that. If it doesn't say anything about it, we assume that they don't exist,"

Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev
Father Seraphim Rose clarifies in the most succinct way that these aliens are absolutely demonic in origin. They serve the will of the antiChrist and cause us to fall from God.
Let this be a warning to you all to beware all that which comes not from the Lord.

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:8)

Thank you, God be with ye. ☦️

Why do Orthodox women wear headscarves? What do they represent? Why does Saint Paul mandate women to wear them?

This thread will explain the Scriptural and Patristic reasoning for why women should wear headscarves while praying or when in Church. ImageImageImageImage
The Holy Apostle Paul, in his first epistle to the Corinthians, gave the command that pious Orthodox Christian women should wear headcoverings while praying. He says that it dishonors a woman not to wear a headcovering, that they must wear one "because of the angels." ImageImage
Nowadays, many, in their desire for revisionism, ignore this because they think the command:

1) Was local, only for the Corinthians
2) Was cultural, only set forth because of the circumstances or
3) Is irrelevant in the modern day

This thread will show the errors in such claims

Who are the Dog-Headed or "Cynocephali?"

What is their relationship to Christ and Christianity? Are they real? Are they literally dog-headed or is that a metaphor? What happens to a Cynocephali that converts?
In the first place, we must understand dogs and men before understanding dog-headed men. The Scriptures speak of dogs in a deragatory manner. The are flesh eaters in 2 Kings 9. Even Christ in Matthew 15 challenges the faith of the Caananite woman by equating her to a dog.
So there is an established connection from Scripture. Being as a dog was a cursed thing, as it was beneath a human and disgusting.

How this relates to the lives of the Saints and the Cynocephali is incredibly relevant.

Thread: What is the path for people who suffer from same sex attraction (SSA), gender dysphoria, or have gone through surgeries attempting to change their sex?

The first thing to note is that they all still have the ability to repent, and this will be the key as it is for all.
Christ will receive the first even as he receives the last. This is seen in the parable of the workers in the vineyard (Mt 20)

God has made a promise to save all who repent and believe the Gospel. If you repent, He will save you, for God does not lie.
Those who suffer from SSA know that the Scriptures condemn homosexual acts as sins. They are called just as all are called: Go and sin no more. (Jn 8:11). Live as a Christian should, and bear the weight of your Cross. Whoever endures to the end will be saved. (Mt 24:13)

☦️ Thread: Are Dragons Real?

The Orthodox Church has, over these two millennia, produced an uncountable number of saints.

Many of these saints, spread far and wide all over the world, tend to agree and regularly interact with Dragons, as if to suggest they were real.
In the first case we see Saint John of Damascus write an entire treatise on Dragons, describing them in great detail. In the same treatise he also talks about ghosts.

He says there are multiple types of dragons, one of which has golden eyes and horns.
Saint George the Great-Martyr defended a city being terrorized by a dragon that demanded human sacrifice to be satiated. Saint George was miraculously assisted when he placed a Cross on his spear, and made the dragon docile, and brought it into the city to be killed publicly.

Revelation 13:16-17 - "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
Mark 13:22 - "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect"
