When anwar Ibrahim wanted to do a police report abt accusations of his moral misconduct in 1996, Mahathir said “Anwar, making a police report is very tricky. It will go out of your hands” [verbatim quote frm Mahathir’s speech]. But Anwar insisted , in order to create the
perception of his innocence. In the end it was Anwar’s own report that launched a full investigation into his sordid private life that led to his termination as DPM and sacking frm UMNO on Sept 2, 1998. The Master of Deception, Mahathir, knows very well that in order to keep
things under control u cannot hv the police sniffing about, which they will hv power to do with a police report. Thedthodik clearly did not know history when he reported the 250k cash missing. He was so aggrieved at the loss of the cash, he did not see the implication of asking
Police to find the culprit. Coz in searching for the culprit they’d also work wth SPRM to look at where the money came from. In the end it was Thedthodik’s own report that became his undoing. How unfortunate that the ONE thing he shld hv consulted Mahathir on, he did not.

1.Mahathir resigned. By doing so he ended his own government. (Because when a PM resigns, the Cabinet is deemed to hv resigned as well). If he didnt resign he might hv still lost the govt if
PPBM and Azmin faction pulled out of PH, but most likely they wld not, if he had control. If he didn’t hv control, then the question is wld he hv been fit to continue to rule? The answer is no. So again it goes back to him.
2. When it became clear that there might be a new mixed
govt formed, Mahathir , as interim PM, cld hv prevented it by asking the Agong to dissolve the assembly and call for elections. He did not. Even BN and PAS wanted an election at that point. Harapan did not want one. Meanwhile DAP, PKR and Amanah nominated Anwar Ibrahim as their
