1/4 Unlike so many on Twitter who feed conflict, Lord Ian Austin works towards conflict resolution. He has led campaigns in Parliament for the government to fund programmes which being Israelis and Palestinians together, particularly young people;
2/4 Lord Austin organised events to promote coexistence and a two-state solution and supported people investing in the West Bank to provide jobs, businesses and homes for Palestinians.
3/4 I held a screening of Forced Out, about people who had to leave Labour because of antisemitism in which Lord Austin features. He was on a panel with Fyaz Mughal, founder of Faith Matters and Tell Mama.
4/4 Fiyaz explained that Corbyn’s legacy will be dividing minorities; Jew from Muslim, Muslim from Muslim and Jew from Jew. Those who seek to devalue Lord Austin’s achievements are Corbyn’s heirs. @stephenpollard
For the record - Ian’s tweet is self evidently directed at Hamas, not Palestinians in general. Only those intent on malice could misrepresent it otherwise.

@Lyndagee49 @EuanPhilipps @Keir_Starmer @UKLabour 1/2 From Louise Ellman’s resignation statement: ‘Under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership, antisemitism has become mainstream in the Labour party. Jewish members have been bullied, abused and driven out. Antisemites have felt comfortable and vile conspiracy theories have been propagated.

I created Forced Out, primary evidence from people who had to leave Labour because of antisemitism, because I knew Corbyn would ape Stalin and try to airbrush history. Luciana’s resignation letter is in the book as well as many others. jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/corbyn-tells-c…
Corbyn forgets this isn’t the Soviet Union; in the UK we have free speech. The film and book are evidence that Luciana and many others were forced out of the Labour Party because of the antisemitism encouraged on Corbyn’s watch. Who does he think he’s kidding?
Forced Out book - letters from people who had to leave Corbyn’s Labour because of antisemitism. Luciana Berger’s is there.

In France the cruel injustice continues. Sarah Halimi was murdered because she was Jewish. Her murderer is still escaping punishment.

Antisemitism is the same but each country that inflicts it tweaks it differently.
I’ll start a whistle stop tour of the French version with the Dreyfus Case. Dreyfus, wrongly accused of treason was left to rot on Devil’s Island for five years
then spent another seven trying to clear his name.
The authorities knew that the real culprit was Count Esterhazy. When it came to light he evaded justice by fleeing to England, and spent the rest of his life in Harpenden, under an assumed name
