Wanting to be another gender is gender dysphoria.
Usually you find you were wanting to be the gender you already are. 🙃
Might seem obvious and all, but honestly misunderstanding dysphoria and transness is a strong theme in many older transition stories.
Oh, and not wanting to be the gender you (think) you are is also dysphoria.

My agenda for trans kids is the same as my agenda for cis kids: to see them grow into healthy adults living their most authentic lives as their gender. The goal isn’t more trans kids, the goal is more happy kids.
I don’t want you to trans your cis kid, but I also don’t want you to cis your trans kid. Both scenarios are silly anyway because they’re based in the idea that conversion works when it absolutely doesn’t. Let’s just aim for happy kids. Everyone can get on board with that, eh?
Trans kids deserve better than what I got, yet that’s what these transphobic people want for them. Abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, drugs, sadness, despair, etc. Our generations need to be the last ones where this is even heard of. Stop stealing the life of people ffs.

The only time I ever mimicked gender stereotypes was when I was trying to survive presenting as a man. Transition liberated me from that. I transitioned out of stereotypes, not into them. Now I just exist.
Transphobic people have 724,592,109 reasons why we transition and not a single true one. No one transitions because of stereotypes, although generic stereotypes can sometimes help us see ourselves in others of another gender.
Besides, transphobes kinda give their ignorance a spotlight when they say dumb things like “trans is all just stereotypes” I mean have you actually SEEN TRANS PEOPLE?!? We break stereotypical gender boundaries more than cis folks by a long shot! It’s all just disinformation.

Fun Fact: Ovaries produce androgens that are converted into estrogens at a given ratio depending on a specific person’s outer structure of the ovary and the distribution of aromatase enzymes therein. Ovaries and testes are homologous, and testosterone is a precursor to estrogen.
Looking at the endo role in biological sex just further reveals the intrinsic “closeness” between people of “different sexes.” There are no “male bodies” or “female bodies.” There are only bodies with a myriad of characteristics corresponding to each of the two predominant modes.
Most intriguing is the fact that this distribution of “characteristics” is born of a syncopated dance of biomolecular synthesis and endochemical influences beginning at gestation and ending at death. Biological sex is a living, breathing part of humans that morphs epigenetically.

The last thing trans people want to be doing is activism for our basic rights! We’d much rather be doing something productive with our time like playing Zelda.
Fine fine. smash bros is cool too.

(Samus is a trans girl tho)
Link is obviously genderfluid fwiw.
