Dalit Sikhs r mainly from 2 castes. First, "Bhangi"/"Chura"/"Valmiki" caste, which r called Mazhabi Sikhs.
Second, "Chamar" caste, which r called Ramdasia Sikhs. Due to perceived "selfless"&"ever serving" image of Sikhs, plight of Dalit Sikhs remains ignored.
Most Non Sikhs refuse to believe that "always ready to do Langar sewa" community of selfless Sikhs could be so ruthlessly brutal & exploitative towards their own unfortunate people in gross violation of teaching of Gurus & Sikhism.Dalit Sikhs r badly trapped in this crafted image
Like fraud of "no caste in Islam", UC dominated Sikh paraphernalia doesn't allow economic hardships of this poor community to come to notice. Dalit Sikh also suffered disproportionately in Delhi riots & Punjab insurgency, but their plight is buried under general label of "Sikh".
Punjabi Jutt Sikhs that comprise 60% of Sikhi have not only chained egalitarian faith of Sikhism to Punjabi culture, but have also made it Punjabi Jutt Sikh centric faith, limiting its growth outside Punjabi ethnicity. Dalit Sikhs are not part of this Jutt centric Sikh mainstream
Dalits, whether in Punjab or Tamil Nadu remarkably not only look similar but also share similar fate. Neither deliverance of Sikh Gurus nor Periyar's promise of social justice made any difference to lives of Sikh Dalit in Punjab or Tamil Dalit in so called Dravidian heaven of TN.
Kanshi Ram was from Chamar Ramdasia Dalit Sikh community but even he could not shake caste status quo of Punjabi Jutt dominated Sikh society, while he found love & acceptance from Chamar Jatavs of Western UP. This gives an indication of how suffocating is condition of Dalit Sikhs
Lastly,
Till mainstream Dalits don't make distinction between Dalit Sikh & UC Jutt Sikh, the Dalit castes in so called "casteless" faiths of Sikhism, Islam & Christianity won't find a helping hand that they desperately need from more powerful & emancipated mainstream Dalits.

More than 100 people, mostly women & children from Dalit Jatav caste die in stampede at gathering of Vishwa Hari "Bhole Baba" aka "Narayan Sarkar", a self styled Hindu "Guru" also from Jatav caste with massive following among Jatav Dalits.
"Bhole Baba" (real name: Suraj Pal), a former lower rank IB official, who took early retirement from government service to preach message of "Hari" (Hindu God Vishnu & his avatar Krishna) to mostly gullible Hindi speaking Dalits & lower OBC castes in Western Uttar Pradesh.
"Dalit Brahminism"
Taking advantage of the fact that vast majority of Dalits, particularly from Hindi speaking Jatav Scheduled Caste community of Western UP, Haryana and Eastern Rajasthan are heavily drawn towards mainstream Brahminical Hinduism, Suraj Pal Dalitized Brahminism.
Artsy movie by North Indian Upper Caste Indian Muslim movie director Imtiaz Ali on elitist Netflix movie platform has suddenly brought 80's Indian Punjab's Chamar/Ravidassia Punjabi Dalit legendary singer DANNI RAM (from same caste as KANSHI RAM) into focus.
Does the movie do justice to DANNI RAM ?
Movie is Imtiaz Ali's sanitized Upper Caste Muslim take on life of Punjabi Dalit singer/lyricist DANNI RAM aka Amar Singh Chamkila, which largely absolves & white washes Indian Punjab's powerful Upper Caste & OBC caste Sikh communities.
Did CASTE kill DANNI RAM in religious society of Punjabi Sikhs of Indian Punjab that claims to follow a faith (Sikhi/Sikhism) that is supposed to be caste neutral?
Answer to this question is YES, but it is not exactly same as many non-Punjabi anti caste activists think it to be.
UPPER CASTE & DOMINANT OBC caste Pakistani Punjabi Muslims from caste groups like SYEDS, PATHANS, AWANS, JATS, GUJJARS, ARAINS etc. think that they are fair complexion TURKS type of "Superior Muslims", while "Indian Hindus" are dark, timid & ugly people.
This Pakistani Punjabi OBC Muslim filth called Imam ul Haq from ARAIN (agriculturalist/gardner) caste sexualized minor TAMIL girls singing DIL DIL PAKISTAN as symbol of superior "Punjabi Muslim" masculinity.
Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Day
(Day, when Babasaheb Ambedkar converted to Buddhism)
BUDDHISM IN CONTEMPORARY INDIA
Buddhism is among fastest growing religion in India and its estimated that India's Buddhist population has already crossed 1 crore mark (estmate 1.15 - 1.25 crore).
What is most interesting thing about BUDDHISM in contemporary India is its much wider spread and presence of followers of both:
1. Ambedkrite Buddhism
2. Traditional Buddhism
(a) Mahayana Buddhism, including Tibetan/Vajrayana Buddhism
(b) Threvada Buddhism
AMBEDKARITE BUDDHISM
Ambedkrite Buddhism often called Neo Buddhism is largest Indian Buddhist community, with estimated 9 to 10 million followers.
MAHARASHTRA is home to 90% of Ambedkrite Buddhists. They constitute 6% of total population of Maharashtra.
If Jat/Jutt Sikhs and KHALISTAN are an "inseparable", then why are young Jat/Jutt Sikhs of Indian Punjab state wining Gold Medals and sporting accolades for India ?
Can Canada based Khalistani Jutt/Jat Sikhs on payrolls of Pakistan's ISI answer please.
Calling off bluff of Canada based Khalistani separatists, who constitute miniscule minority of Jutt Sikhs, who have created "Khalistan nuisance" for entire Sikh community, younger generation of Jutt Sikhs of Punjab are wining accolades for India at international sporting events.
Jutt/Jat Sikhs, often stereotyped as ardent supporters of Sikh supremacist theological autocratic independent country of "Khalistan" are actually not that enthusiastic supporters of Khalistan as they are made out to be. These young Jutt Sikh sportsmen are testimony of that.
The much talked about wedding scene from "Made in Heaven: Season 2" Webseries is non-Brahminical & non-Vedic AMBEDKARITE BUDDHIST WEDDING.
The short movie is part of the 5 part episode of the Webseries and is directed by an acclaimed Marathi Dalit director Neeraj Ghaywan.
This is first time that WORLD is witnessing cinematic portrayal of an Indian Buddhist Wedding or to be precise-AMBEDKARITE BUDDHIST WEDDING.
The beautifully & aesthetically picturized wedding scene with background tune of "Buddham Sharnam Gachammi" is immensely powerful visual.
Radhika Apte's character wades through pool of water, full of lotus flowers (symbol of Buddhism) to reach wedding stage. Scene is director Ghaywan's cinematic tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar's Mahad water satyagraha, wherein Babasaheb fought for rights of Dalits to use public tank.
