Today we are exposing two predatory journals: the International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews (IJRAR) (ijrar.org) and the Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research (JETIR) (jetir.org).
We submitted a spoof paper titled "Possible applications of immunology principles in dealing with viral attacks on computer networks: A hypothesis" which got accepted by both journals.
The paper is completely non-sensical. We used an AI- based random text generator to write this paper.
deepai.org/machine-learni…
We ran this generator several times after keying in some meaningful but mostly non-sensical statements. We did some corrections and editing by replacing some terms with more non-sensical terms. For example, the term "Brain" was replaced with "CPU".
Some of the statements the paper contains will make you laugh out loud!
"But where are antiviral defenses? One is a little bit of a mystery that may never be solved. Is there any way to prevent the spread of hacking attempts A or C because of vaccines?"
"One way to treat hacking attempts B and C is to give them the full course of anti-Hacking attempts antigens. So what antiviral agents can prevent hacking attempts A or C of course?"
"We show that the chronic malware of the motherboard, a key mechanism by which the disease of the computer progresses, can be compared with the chronic malware of the central nervous system."
"We conclude that by applying immunology principles we can achieve a reliable system where all viral attacks on computer networks can be handled through targeted vaccines."
The review report received from IJRAR made us laugh out loud! Image
JETIR sent us these review results within one hour of submitting the paper. Image
And Twitter has many certificates awarded by these journals on display! #IJRAR #JETIR

Twitter has many proud authors who have published with these journals! Scholars from prominent universities happen to be the authors featured in these journals.
IJARESM ijaresm.com is the third journal to have accepted this spoof paper. This journal claims an Impact Factor of 7.429. Through their "fast peer-review process" our paper was accepted within a few hours of submission, they say! Image
The concluding paragraph of the abstract of our spoof paper reads the following "As with many mobile devices, sensor input is a separate operation to power the device. It also eliminates the need for additional software and hardware to power the device during charging."
Another segment from the paper reads: "CPU structure is determined by how a CPU is connected to the outside world. As a result, differences in CPU functions are thought to be due to several factors. The main factors influencing these differences are genetic and environmental."
