We learned that Trump asked top DOJ officials to announce that the election was corrupt, promising to handle the rest. They refused. But other attorneys did not refuse -- the filed cases making insane allegations. Cases like this one: courthousenews.com/wp-content/upl…
So let's give a big "WELCOME TO THE BARREL" to Gary D. Fielder and Ernest J. Walker.
Their incredibly dumb and dangerous complaint sought 160 BILLION dollars for garbage allegations about a supposed conspiracy to overturn the election by Dominion Voting, Facebook, Pennsylvania, etc., etc.
The Court did what it should have - dismissed the case - but not before Trumpists used it as "evidence" that the election was corrupt - just like Trump wanted. There are consequences for filing false cases, however, they aren't going to be great for Fiedler and Walker.
The Court just entered a decision on the Motion for Sanctions by all defendants. It's GRANTED. We don't know how much yet, because Defendants still need to submit their fees, but it's bad. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
The Court knows that the intent of the filing was sow doubt about the election.
The Court found that the entire case was built on bullshit - and that the attorneys' did not take any steps to verify any of it.
The Court found that the legal basis for the claims "crossed the border into the frivolous."
This is fun.
And this is really fun. "Counsel acted in bad faith and attempted to mislead the Court."
As noted, we do not know how much they will have to pay with, but I can tell you this: If a court finds that filed a completely frivolous case and then acted in bad faith to file a motion to amend that attempts to mislead the court ... you are going to pay with your law license.
So nice job Gary D. Fielder and Ernest J. Walker. You should have read @TheRickWilson's book. And you should sell out whoever paid you to file that garbage. Alas, #ETTD
If you dig this kind of thing, please follow. Hopefully we can all look forward to beautiful future in which Sidney Powell and Lin Wood face similar moments in the sunlight. We can all be glad that Ghouliani already lost his license.

I had forgotten about this thread and this story. Ebay Global Security heads engaged in a criminal conspiracy because a blogger said mean things. They were entirely out of control and got busted when they flew to the bloggers home town to break in and place GPS trackers.
When busted, they then engaged in a conspiracy to cover it up, including the head of Ebay Global Security pretending to be someone else when he talked to the cops. Subsequent charges filed for witness tampering and obstructing a federal investigation. theregister.com/2020/11/04/fed…
5 of 7 of the members of conspiracy pleaded guilty in November, and the first was sentenced on July 27: 18 months in prison; a year of home confinement and 2 more years supervised release. justice.gov/usao-ma/pr/for…
Since we are piling on Thomas Barrack, I want to take a moment to talk about what is mostly absent from the indictment: ACTS BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS. washingtonpost.com/context/indict…
In the indictment, there is a lot of talk about Barrack getting meetings with people in the Trump admin as requested by UAE officials.
There is talk of getting preferred candidates placed in the Trump administration, including placement of an unidentified member of Congress as an ambassador (that did not happen).
Just reading the US Attorneys' letter request to keep Barrack in custody in EDNY. It's pretty nice. A THREAD.
Dear MAGA, the Barrack that got arrested today for being a foreign agent of a Muslim nation was Trump's dude Thomas Barrack. Not the other one. Sorry about that.
4 count indictment: unregistered foreign agent; conspiracy; obstruction of justice; and false statements to investigators. For those keeping score, twitter was enraged about not charging rich white dudes with obstruction of justice yesterday.
Reading through the docs obtained by CREW (we all owe a debt of gratitude to CREW), there are a lot of redactions, but also some noteworthy items. THREAD
Projection - that's what they do - they accuse us of doing the evil things that they actually do. I previously wrote about Ruben Verastugui - evil incarnate - but I missed this story about his buddy Adam Hageman. politico.com/news/2021/03/0…
Verastugui is the most evil thing I have ever tweeted about, and of course he was part of the RNC and Repub Senate media teams, as well as a big figure in the youth "pro-life" movement.
Verastugui pleaded guilty yesterday, admitting the facts in the charging affidavit that he fantasized about raping and killing infants. The Politico story included new facts: the chat group included 18 people; one of them was Hageman. politico.com/news/2021/07/0…
Come to think of it, don't ALL the executives of Trump Org live in housing owned by Trump Org? It seems like that might be a tangible, taxable perquisite. businessinsider.com/donald-trump-p…
Just as I thought (now that I'm thinking about it) - housing is a taxable fringe benefit unless fairly strict exceptions apply. corporatehousing.com/blog/corporate…
