Ok, here is the brand new Jurassic World Dark Ride, that has made an incredible impression on a lot of people.
To break it up Main show building has a footprint of 255ft x 310ft (remember this)
The Innovation Centre part (Queue/Preshow) has a footprint roughly 200ft x 200ft.
People have raised the question of Why dont they build this at Islands of Adventure? The Short Answer is there is no room, thanks to Kong, and even if the Kong expansion slot was still there, it's would be hard to fit in, in the current layout of the land. Look:
I mean you could reconfigure to save River Adventure, also kills Thunder Falls Terrace as well as the Innnovation Centre aspect of the Pre-show/Queue. So there you are already killing some of the aspects that makes the land and the Beijing ride great.
Another option would be to just completely kill & replace River Adventure, some might argue it's had its day, but to me that would be a shame. Also having DC and IC so close makes NO SENSE, add is always better than replace. Below are the Beijing Layout and Reconfigured to fit
So this maybe answers the question, that there is no viable option at IOA that doesn't end up with a net loss of rides/Thematic common sense. What are the alternatives? Well if you remember on my #EpicUniverse thread theres a ~20 acre expansion plot over there.
This really gets into the realms of Fan Fiction but, if they wanted to set up a multi-park Potter-style presence in the park off the back of Beijing they could fit a ton of rides on that plot at #EpicUniverse
I have personally toyed with the idea of Innovention centre actually being where ive put my deadly serious meet and greet and then the coaster behind being the volcano, that would give a long entry way that recreates the real Jurassic World, you can all argue over what youd do
They could of course split the plot in 2 & use half for some JW & half for something else . The point is, they have many good options at #EpicUniverse but very few at IOA. Anyway, when @AliciaStella inevitable gets asked "why dont they just..?" she can refer to this thread
There is also the option Jurassic World Dark ride goes right here, so we can finally end the recurring nightmare of Supercharged:
And to bring it all full circle, with what we actually got at Beijing and what we nearly got heres @AliciaStella@ThemeParkStop about a Gyrosphere ride, which if they did use the 20Acres for has room for that a Dark ride, coaster and another
I may reupload this at a later date, as I havent included all retention ponds (same capacity just moved). but here is what I would do to build out the #EpicUniverse South Campus with City Walk 2.0 and a 4th Gate, parking garage too. I have even drawn in the ring road.
Point is, it's fully connected to the BOH area with the ring road, and universal way if needed. Parking garages over the road replace the lot, similar parking capacity to North Campus, and City Walk 2.0 sits in between both parks #EpicUniverse and the new park is bigger than IOA
In case it needs reiterating:the drainage plan was for 90% buildout of the entire 550 acre project site. so as long as they have the same pond capacity they can move them anywhere. They wouldnt have planned enough ponds for 90% buildout if they only ever intended to develop half
