Rare Axies are some of the most collectible NFTs but are often overshadowed by our invention of Play-To-Earn.
A secret hidden in plain sight.
🧵
2/ There are a variety of types of collectible Axies within our ecosystem. Like anything, the intricacies can be bit hard to grasp and opaque.
These Axies are aesthetically distinct, have parts or genetics with capped supplies and get rarer over time as our player-base grows.
3/ ✨Mystic Axies
• Special subset of Origin Axies
• Mystic parts have distinct aesthetics from their normal versions.
• Unique + deeper upgrade paths in the future.
• 1283 in existence. ~50 more to be rolled through Axie Origin Coins.
• Capped at 4088, sold from February - April 2018.
• Special tag.
• Can be bred without SLP.
• Marker of Axie OG status
• Remaining Origin can be rolled using a special ERC20 called AOC. Very rare and hard to buy these.
There are 2 seasons of MEO Axies so far. When one season ends, the supply for that season becomes capped. We are technically still in Season 2.
• Used to introduce new parts.
• Limited run
• Can be bred without SLP.
8/ 👑Agamogenesis Axies
The kings of Axies. Only 3 exist.
• Skin color and animated body parts are 1/1's.
• Each body part is the 1st ever example of the gene/part in the population.
• Animated body parts.
• Buyout offer of 1.8 M USD for Almace on @NIFTEX recently failed.
9/ Hope this will serve as a resource for those looking to get into collecting Axies, if you're an Axie community member, save this thread and share it when appropriate.

It’s an absolutely brutal day today across crypto.
We, as an industry, have a long way to go and a lot to build.
It’s days like today that I reflect on the Origin story…
My journey in crypto, like many of yours, started during a hype cycle:
December 2017. It was the peak of the ICO era and everything was mooning.
I saw a Wired article and got sucked into breeding digital cats called CryptoKitties. It was a way to potentially earn some crypto and the collecting and breeding brought out the collector and gamer in me.
This led me down a rabbit hole that eventually brought me to the Axie community in March of 2018.
ETH was around 500-700 dollars at this time but then proceeded to drop all the way to something like 80 dollars.
There’s been some interesting discussion and feedback around raising the Marketplace fee to 5.25%. This is an important decision that will affect everyone in the ecosystem.
Why is this happening and what are the pros and cons?

2/
First, it’s important to state that our creators are a key pillar of our community. They create so much value by making educational and cultural content that makes the game more fun and rewarding for the entire community.
3/
However, creators have been driving a lot of growth but their main way of capturing this value has been by either buying their own stake in the ecosystem or by selling out and promoting other projects.
From more Axie Infinity: Origin leeks, to clarifying Land gameplay questions, this dev update explains why there’s an enthusiastic energy within the Axie ecosystem

2/ Axie Infinity: Origin (End of March target release)
The response to our recently released Origin sneak preview has been tremendous, and everyone seems to be in love with the green, handsomely mustached plant Axie…so, we’d like to take a moment to introduce you to Olek
3/ Who is Olek?
Olek is one of the three initial “starter Axies” and is a leading character throughout the Origin adventure. He’s brave, calm, and has distinct cards that you’ll be able to play alongside his two students Buba and Puffy, as they adventure into the Lunacian forest
1/ So my friend who's into political lobbying just schooled me and told me that for the amount of Money crypto has, we really suck at it.
Apparently, buying political power can be done systematically through a few steps 👇
2/
First, We need to create many different entities (PACs) and raise money for them.
Then we max out contributions to each senator and congressman.
There are 100 Senators and 435 Congressman.
Max contribution is 5,000 USD per candidate per election. Not too expensive.
3/ Once we have paid enough through these things, they'll start sending bills and legislation to us in advance. We'll be able to add favorable crypto legislation rather than having to scramble to fight unfavorable stuff at the last minute.
