"Sleep is not a luxury, it's a necessity.""

10 Ways to Improve your Sleep

//Thread//
1. Use dim lights before bed
2. Sleep in a dark room
3. Avoid screens before bed

Light affects your Circadian Rhythm (sleep-wake cycle)

When there's light, your brain thinks it's day time and wakes up

When it's dark, your brain thinks it's night and goes to sleep
4. Reduce/Quit Caffeine Intake

Caffeine has negative affects on your sleep

Even when you think you are sleeping well, you could be sleeping better

Don't drink any caffeine in the afternoon

To learn more about caffeine check out my recent thread

5. Know your Body Clock

According to Micheal Breus, a sleep doctor, there are 4 types of body clocks: lions, bears, wolves n dolphins

The more aligned you are with your body clock, the better sleep you will get

You will also find more energy throughout your day
Take thepowerofwhenquiz.com to find your type

What this vid for a summary of the types and what you can do for your type

Dive deep and read the book 'The Power of When'
6. Exercise

Exercise during the day increases the amount of SWS (slow wave sleep), allowing your mind to stay in deep sleep for longer

In human history, people spent the majority of their time moving. Our minds
aren't naturally adapted to be sitting all day.
If you're not sure where to start, start with an exercise you enjoy

If you want to get the most out of exercise in the shortest amount of time, I recommend HIIT exercises

Here's a recent channel I've been following for my HIIT workouts at home

7. Don't use Alcohol or Sleeping Pills

These sedate you - they put you in a drowsy state. You fall asleep faster, but your quality of sleep will be bad

If you are really struggling to sleep, ask your doctor about Melatonin Pills
Melatonin is the natural sleep drug that makes you sleeps and improves your sleep quality

In some countries, it's legal to buy melatonin pills over the counter.
This could be used now and again

But, don't rely on them everyday and develop an addiction‼️
8. Write in a Journal

If you're like me and have most of your ideas in the middle of the night, get out that journal and start writing

After writing you'll feel a sense of relief. You don't have to worry about forgetting the thoughts

It's all there in the book
9. Use Sleep Music

Everything in this universe is a bunch of waves

The right type of sleep music will help your mind get into its sleep wave

Have a search for 'sleep music' on Youtube. You might need to experiment to find the music that suits you
10. Meditate

Regular meditation helps calm the mind. A calmer mind sleeps more soundly

You could meditate morning, night or both

Get comfortable, focus on your natural breathing.

Breath in positive energy ,breath out negative energy

I lived in China for 7 years.

I went directly to the source and dug into Beijing's whitepaper:

北京市互联网 3.0 创新发展白皮书
(2023年)

Most of your "gurus" never read the actual paper.

Time for a quick summary and thesis on what will happen in the middle kingdom

🧵 Image
Do you know how I know most people didn't read the doc?

Because Beijing's definition of web3 is not a typical definition.

Reminds me of when Australia's prime minister thought when China was talking about being more "democratic" they thought it was the same meaning...
Their own definition of web3:

•No mention of decentralization
•A heavy focus on AR/VR
•Using this tech to advance industries

For the metaverse, imagine a CENTRALIZED ready player one future... ImageImage

Imagine playing the lottery WITHOUT losing any money.

With this neat little crypto tactic, you can.

Here’s a breakdown of how:
I get it.

This sounds like one of these “too good to be true” moments.

But trust me: This works.

Let me explain…
The method is simple:

Deposit dollars.
Each day, there’s a chance to win lottery rewards.

And when you play, you lose 0 dollars.

How?

I’ll show you in a moment.

How I earned 139.95% in 27 days.

With a few SIMPLE clicks.

And an EASY DeFi tool.

What I'm about to tell you is super risky.

But if you enjoy the thrill of degen moves.

It can't hurt to try out this tactic.
(with a tiny part of your portfolio)

I'll explain:
1. What I did
2. How I found it
1. We're using beefy.finance on the fantom chain.

There are many juicy yields on this app.

We are talking 1000s, not 100s of %.

Basically:
You deposit LP tokens.
And it earns extra interest.

It's an easy process once you know what to do:

We have YouTube, SkillShare and Twitter

What's the point of school?
Here’s my take:

Schooling has two main purposes
1. To further the potential of society
2. To develop social skills and encourage collaborative learning

School in it’s current state plans students for a society of factory workers.

Beyond essential topics, students should..
Be given the freedom to pursue their desired learning.

As children become teenagers, if schools focus on HOW to learn rather than WHAT to learn, we’ve give them the tools to pursue any possibility society has to offer.

As for physical labor:

I lived and taught in China for 8 years.

Here's 11 Life Lessons I learned.

(That you can use in your life too)

=Thread=
1. Confidence Builds With Experience

When I first arrived in China, I was a shy speaker.

My eyes would often water, and I would shake when I spoke in front of people.

I also had 0 teaching experience.

I had to fake my confidence...

But over time, I conquered this shyness.
2. You Can Learn At Any Age

I grew up believing the old lie: adults can't learn language.

BULLSH!T

I was monolingual when I stepped foot in China at 21.

Now I can have deep conversations 'righting the world' in Chinese.

This taught me another valuable lesson:
