1️⃣ PMs are not being fired from Airbnb. Instead Brian Chesky is going with the Apple approach and morphing PM into PMM (Product Marketing Managers).
2️⃣ This change probably happened with the hiring of Jony Ive, the former Chief Design Officer of Apple, as consultant for Airbnb.
3️⃣ Most PMs today, have been reduced to Project Managers who majorly manage the project and have very low impact on the product success and the revenue.
