Marcus is the founder of Onnit, a multi-millionare dollar supplement and fitness company. Prior to this, he fell asleep at the wheel and was in a devastating accident.
Lesson 1: From Marcus – injuries like this are either a blessing or a curse. It is up to you to decide how you take it. For Marcus, he started exploring how all natural supplements and vitamins could help his healing. They helped so much, he decided to open his own company.
Lesson 2: Naps are the best way to improve your energy levels, more so than coffee or other stimulants. We started implementing this, instead of being tired but wired, and working at a subpar level, crush a 15 to 30 minute nap. Studies repeatedly support this.
Sleep is your fuel. Naps are your refuel. Everything else is artificial. If you keep a car going every day that needs a tune up, but you just keep patching it, it will eventually break.
Lesson 3: Set goals that benefit your OVERALL health. Too often today we see people who only want to lose weight, only want abs, only want big arms, only want to run 50 miles a week. Health is physical, mental, spiritual, social, etc. ALL of these are equally as important.
Take these 3 lessons to heart and implement them this week. See how it affects your life. Small things like this build the foundation for success. More importantly, be very keen on how you perceive things...it can make all the difference.
