Record number of environmental activists murdered

bbc.com/news/science-e…
This is, sadly, nothing new. Big Business often goes beyond mere intimidation to straight up murder. Examples: the Coca-Cola backed United Self Defence Forces of Colombia waged a terror campaign against union workers in Colombia.

Union organizer and whistleblower Karen Silkwood was exposed to plutonium and likely murdered by her employer in the 1970s

Like all of Jones's most popular bits in that era, he stole that prediction from Bill Cooper. On June 28, 2001, Cooper referenced a recent CNN interview with Osama bin Laden, and claimed an attack on US soul was imminent.
The point here isn't that Cooper was right. It had been a common belief in the conspiracy community for a few years by that point.
For anyone doubting this, here's the episode of Hour of the Time in full: hourofthetime.com/bcmp3B/1896.mp3

This is the funniest brand of wokeness because, unintentionally, it provides a moral justification for the colonial project undertaken by America in the wake of the attacks.

"Why would you deny the 9/11 hijackers the agency to be terrorists?"
We know, for example, it wasn't simply "genuine hate" that motivated them. This is a contortion of an obscenely racist necon talking point: "They hate our way of life." Image
We know this because over the last 20 years the families of 9/11 victims have forced the government to release more information, establishing a connection between the 9/11 hijackers and the Saudi Arabian government

Cops have been joining racist/fascist secret societies for over a century. I've mentioned the Black Legion before but it bears repeating that a significant portion of the group's member base was comprised of cops, including Detroit's chief of police.
Also the presence of the KKK within police departments up to literally this year

Would highly recommend William Turner's fantastic Power on the Right, which devotes an entire chapter to the fascist undercurrent of American policing up through the 1970s: for example, in 1963 Philadelphia found 16 cops were secretly Birchers

Recently went on a podcast to discuss the event that made me who I now am: the George Floyd protests and the open conspiracy by the City of Philadelphia and the PPD to antagonize and brutalize protestors. Just found a Hunter S. Thompson quote that sums it up perfectly.
HST: "For me, that week in Chicago was far worse than the worst acid trip I'd even heard rumors about. It permanently altered my brain chemistry, and my first new idea—when I finally calmed down—was an absolute conviction there was no possibility for any personal truce..."
HST: "...in a nation that could hatch and be proud of a malignant monster like Chicago. Suddenly it seemed imperative to get a grip on those who had somehow slipped into power and caused the thing to happen."

If I'm reading this right, in the late 1960s Philly Mag coordinated with the FBI as part of COINTELPRO to ruin the reputation of a local leader in the SDS ImageImageImageImage
It actually looks like a local civil rights lawyer is the one who coordinated to place the stories?

The FBI also placed a story critical of the SDS in the Penn student newspaper via informants Image
