I finally have access to PaLM API!

A quick tour: πŸ‘‡

The API comes with Text prompt, Data prompt, and Chat prompt with a bunch of examples. Image
Text prompts: continue writing on existing text ImageImageImage
Data Prompt: a table that uses rows and columns to organize prompts

I think this is just a fancy way to render data πŸ€” Image

How I manage time and context switching while running multiple products:

1. Do what really matters

Having multiple products, a long backlog, and limited time forces me to think really hard (in the background) before coding.

This helps me make better decisions.
2. Break big tasks into small tasks

90% of the tasks I work on are built, tested, and deployed within less than a day.

I deploy to production almost every day.

This helps to switch between projects on any day of the week easily.
3. Move slowly

I don't have deadlines.

I don't share a public roadmap.

I strictly never make any promise to the customer about ETA.

For a bootstrapped, profitable business like mine, time is an ally.

So, it's ok to move slowly for one or all projects (and enjoy life instead)

I'm obsessed about screenshots and I get mad when I see a bad screenshot on social media. πŸ˜‚

If you find my screenshots are beautiful and want the same, read this.

4 simple rules to have a beautiful screenshot

πŸ‘‡πŸ§΅ Image
Rule 1: Padding!

- Have some space (breathing room).
- If the image has text, make sure the text is readable.

Example:

❌ Ugly (not enough spacing, look bad, text may get cut off in some social media sites) Image
❌ Bad (text too small, so much empty background space) Image

Looking for a new email provider for my businesses and myself.

Gmail aliases + forwarder is troublesome.

HEY email is nice but expensive ($12/mo/domain, and I have 5 email domains in use + 20 aliases)

I'm thinking of going with Fastmail, as they offer unlimited domains πŸ‘€
I settled with Fastmail. It's just too good.

With $50/year I can manage 100 domains and 600 aliases (basically unlimited for me).

Automatic send-as for catch-all emails is just a huge time saver.

I moved all of my domains to use Fastmail within 30 minutes after sign-up πŸ˜‚
Worth noting it not only has the features I need, it's also cheap enough for me as an indie hacker with multiple projects (and domains).

Protonmail is €288/year with only 10 custom domains and 20GB.

HEY email is $144/year with only 1 domain 🀦
