Plan to start #freelancing?

Here is my advice to get your first client 🧵👇 Image
⚠️ IMPORTANT!!

- You don't need to be an expert to start as a freelancer.

- To start #freelanacing, you should *first focus on getting good reviews* than getting money.

Those reviews will give you the money later!
1️⃣ Find a platform

These are some platforms to get you connected with people looking for your skills:

- upwork.com
- fiverr.com
- peopleperhour.com
Picking a freelancing platform will help you connect with clients willing to pay for the skills you can offer.

I personally use Upwork, but I would be open to use any of the others as well. Maybe even more than just one!
2️⃣ Create an appealing profile

- Your profile is essential for freelancing. Make it stands out.

- Add every skill you control.

- If you have a work portfolio, that will look amazing in your profile.
3️⃣ Time to apply for jobs!

Since you are first focused on getting good reviews. Look for easier/short jobs first.

These are also more likely to be given new freelancers, they are your opportunity to put your name out there!

Find as many jobs as you can, not just one!
4️⃣ The cover letter

Once you have that list of jobs. Write a personalized cover letter for each of them.

**Make sure you let the client know that you are most interested in a good review. That will let them know you want to do a great job!**
🖐 Be patient

Your first job might take a day or two to land.

Just keep sending proposals and you WILL get a job to start working on!
6️⃣ Get that review

Needless to say, when you finish your first job, kindly ask your client to write a review for you.
