I love almost everything about this place. It's just stunning. You are going to get your steps in, though! #SaturdayNightZillow
Good news: The HOA is $35 a month, not $7,000 a month like that NJ condo I posted earlier.
Bad news: Apparently the HOA has banned AirBnB? LAME. It's a mountain retreat. It would be a perfect AirBNB. Maybe an hour and a half from DC? #SaturdayNightZillow
Well, this is AWK. It appears this thing IS listed on Air BnB? 4.94 stars and 118 *glowing* reviews. Now I'm confused. airbnb.com/rooms/19246049…
This is a different take on the ol' deck/grill/firepit thing. #SaturdayNightZillow
Just spectacular scenery. Though that lake looks a little more like a big pond. #SaturdayNightZillow
There are plenty of well-off DC folk for whom $390K for a weekend getaway place would be doable. Reminder that there are zero 2BR SFH homes listed below $500K in DC west of the Anacostia. ZERO.
Bonus, you aren't far from Spelunker's in Front Royal, my favorite burger place. spelunkerscustard.com
The house's shape kind of reminds me of the siege towers in The Return of the King.
Apparently people are now living in converted shipping containers?
So, I really kind of hate the decor in this next house.
Hate the kitchen counters. Hate the pink bathroom. The price is cheapish for the size - $875K for 5,679 sf.
Just how hot does this greenhouse pool get?

This house is 6K sf in DC, and has a party shower. #FridayNightZillow. I thought it would be priced higher. <$3M. Not sure about the curb appeal. What say you? zillow.com/homedetails/57…
Two years ago, Congress considered banning 18-20 year-olds from buying AR-15s and other semi-automatic rifles after the Uvalde massacre, and some Republicans were briefly open to doing so but ultimately blocked including a ban in the bipartisan gun bill signed by Biden.
Then-Florida Governor Rick Scott signed a law raising the age to buy guns in his state to 21 after the Parkland massacre, but then opposed doing the same for the nation as a US Senator. He told reporters it was easier to do it at the state level.
McConnell actually enacted a law one day to raise the age to buy cigarettes to 21. But he didn't want to talk two years ago about a proposal to raise the age for buying rifles.
Soaring cost estimates for extending Trump tax cuts set up a crucial 2025 fight:
*CBO puts tab at $4.6 Trillion over next decade
*Fight comes with US debt far higher than 2017, interest costs ballooning & Social Security cliff looming...
w/@chrisjcondon bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
*Trump wants more tax cuts, along with massive new tariffs — aka a tax on imports — that would raise consumer prices but offset at least some of the cost.
*Biden wants to extend breaks <$400K a year paired with higher taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
If past is prologue, Congress will again play Santa Claus. With a few exceptions, Congress has repeatedly increased spending and cut taxes since 2001.
