"it is not too crazy to think"
You may witness someone trying to divert pleasant conversation into quagmire discussing 'Show X'—consider asking about parent companies/studio ownership, revenue streams, and the intent of the programming.
Many people you meet in life will have never stopped to think about this.
another video where progressive studios attempt to incite rage and anger
if you're a child and you see this, you will grow thinking all farmers owned slaves and this is simply not true
if you're an adult and you see this, you will realize this is infowar
"No, really, think about it - what is the moral of the movie?"

Steve Starkey-interesting career-produced almost every Zemeckis classic, ending with this bizarre doc on substance abuse
Netflix has been one of the highest propagators of woke revisionism in historical film.
A subject which can veer down many topics.. perhaps a most-egregious act of $NFLX's false-historical series is use of classical masterpieces (Beethoven's 5th, etc) as cheap muzak fillers.
"Once you start checking everything, it’s very hard to be very creative,” Cleese said. “If you’re worried about offending people and constantly thinking about that, you’re not going to be very creative.”
"The moment that the critical mind comes in, you stop being creative,”
EMF was formed in 1989. Less than two years later, they pulled off unimaginable success with their breakout debut single and subsequent 'infectious,' 'bubbly,' even ELECTRIFYING pop/dance track... one-hit wonder, "Unbelievable" - released a year before the GSM network launched

"there is little in the backgrounds or education of many current U.S. government officials that allow them to see these strategies and functions holistically as part of general political warfare and to fight this unique war,"

In 1991 children's classic, Beauty & The Beast, Monsieur D'Arque ("dark" ~ translated "of arc") runs an asylum and is obsessed with gold.
Is his character loosely based on another character/family across history who has served as asylum (Norwood) stewards for over a century?
🤔
Gaston is the best Disney character.
Regarding B&B, consider how they portray the villain:
-village alpha
-slonks eggs
-steps up to fight Grendel
-universally adored in town
-fit
-faithfully dedicated to gal he admired—despite temptation
-good fighter
-accomplished hunter
-man
A fine example of Replacement Algorithm Theory at work is the release of a film coinciding with (and directly portraying) a secret society a presidential-dynastic candidate joined is released in months preceding a major Presidential Election.
But it wasn't just the first episode
Mid-terms matter, too—and often set stage for future events, like sequels—especially when applicable to a candidate who may or may not want to [un]intentionally obfuscate the history of their own membership in the same Secret Society.
Once is happenstance,
Twice is coincidence..
Presidential Election Year
Especially when that same 2002 candidate is "tapped" to become the presidential candidate.
Trilogies are a great example of the theory at work, be it total coincidence or deeply planned collaborative effort.. who knows?
(No matter who wins—they win)

New videogame out this November!
Was Desantis in same [or similar] club mentioned above?
Remember, Replacement Algorithm Theory is [un]intended obfuscation/suppression by media, memes or other flooding of similar names.
"The definition of a hero in the Marvel-morality era is one who is reluctant, unsure of himself, and forced into action. It is a shell of what the hero archetype once was,"
@the_saxon_cross on what seems "off" about modern superheroes vs heroes of old.
"Name a Germanic/Nordic/WASP protagonist that isn't Arnold,"
Great stumper to ask when you and friends are discussing media.. one even suggested Casper van Diem a la Starship Troopers, who was actually cast due to Verhoeven's ulterior motives (discussed above in thread)
The entire basis of the modern "superhero" is that some quasi-pharmaceutical serum or medical treatment/experiment boosts the weak into something strong.
Reading about SE Asian drug trade (as one does), I found it of note that 70% of opium (and synthetic drug) originates in what the CIA dubbed "The Golden Triangle"
In the film Golden Circle, "Poppy" is cannibalistic CEO of drug syndicate bent on pharmaceutical extortion of users.
Disambiguating Golden Circle:
Secret society of Southern Expansion w/notorious members. KGC made conquests to Central/America to make 'circle' of plantations; RL Club Tropical Excellent.🌴
This movement gained global momentum, with support from Northerners & even Queen Victoria.
Film about black power activist extorting a teenager for uninsured vehicle damage; casts yet another #aryanantagonist, even going so far at naming him traditional German name, Kurt.
Film debut of pornstar Carmen Electra.
Kids movie, via Nickelodeon🟠

Entirety of show "Scrubs" is loosely based on the plot of driven and well-to-do/successful men (doctors, in this case) being afraid of women, and perpetually friend-zoned. Reinforces the 'loveable loser' stereotype.
"Friends" is effectively the same thing in a different setting.
Hoffman changes name to infiltrate target demographic and corrupt.
Many such cases.
Hollywood man put on cowboy hat, use media network to gain prominence, reinforces stereotype of vulgarity and stupidity in Southern men.
Some call it "chart-forging," others, "modern minstrels,"
"It cuts the fat out of the system, leaving nothing but bone, muscle, and sinew. For some businesses, like hardware stores, perhaps a fatless system is barely noticeable. But for steaks and TV shows, the marbling is what it’s all about. Hence the state of streaming TV,"
When there's no enemies,
I sit and stare at my T.V.
With my credit and my bank,
My mind will draw a blank.
I'll block out history,
And stare at my T.V.
Heard this song when I was 13 and never looked at a TV the same again. Poignant and even more relevant to modern media.

The Debris Question is a timely, metastasizing issue, both in orbit and on Terra.. a blizzard of direct and second-order effects that can and will impact everyone and Earth.
🧵 on status, history, capital, layman's observations, Ballistic Missiles, and ways forward
Kessler Effect
The first realization of the DQ can be traced to 1980s, when a NASA scientist, Donald J. Kessler, estimated proliferation of satellites and debris would exponential reach a climax and collision point
This theory has been proven, even beyond Kessler's predictions
To bring home the gravity (🥁) of the issue, just last week, space debris plummeted from orbit into a home in Rhode Island, engulfing the entirety of the structure and incinerating it.
Fortunately nobody was injured, but imagine if this was your home...
Here are some of the greatest aesthetic, poignant, and prescient covers (chronologically), and some thoughts on refinement culture, psywar, creativity, and general aptitude decline.

Be fruitful.
Computer Graphic generated covers in mid-80s really coming to fruition is a great starting point for this four-decade retrospective.
It is also always refreshing to see a TIME cover featuring making babies, rather than exterminating them, as in more recent years.
What may have been his first TIME cover, seeing Gates at this stage in 1984 really brings the gravity of how far the Magazine, Microsoft, and the world all have come.
Over the next four decades he was one of the most prominent individuals to grace the cover.
The story of 'The Perfect Amphibious Operation', deception, sunk ships, and deployment of B-29 heavy bombers and nuclear warheads aboard a small Pacific island, and it's strategic value in the growing age of geopolitical conflict.

First, background.
Tinian (and Saipan) first sighted by Europeans, via 1521 Spanish expedition of Ferdinand Magellan.
Occupied in 1669, it was little more than a logistics stopping point for Spanish galleons en route to Mexico, and remained as such for the next three centuries.
Rare footage of J.D. "Joker" Vance and fellow recruits at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island receiving their Military Occupational Specialities.
All "joking" aside (this is scene from Full Metal Jacket), here is a thread of some real photos @JDVance1 took in the Corps.

Vance was, like Joker, a Combat Correspondent... leaving a legacy of images covering the life and times of the 2nd Marine Air Wing, a few images he shot and many articles he wrote are still available online.
I have selected a few to share with you here, along with their stories.
Lieutenant Col. David Lancaster, a Houston native and executive officer of Marine Attack Squadron 223, poses in front of an AV-8B Harrier from his squadron, Jan. 1, at Al Asad, Iraq. Lancaster recently logged his 2,000th flight hour in the Harrier.

King's Point, US Merchant Marine Academy, 1979—a group of midshipmen sat through a Naval Research demo of a new state-of-the-art $50MM ship's bridge pilot simulator, groundbreaking technology for 1979.
Jordan Weisman and L. Ross Babcock sat through the demo, and saw opportunity.
"Well, shit, that's the future of entertainment right there,"
Weisman dropped out, hardwired two Apples together and tried to build his own simulator; a starship..
He fried his computers, got no funding, and failed.
From there, Weisman switched gears to make a Tabletop RPG...
