A quiet afternoon, clearing up and sorting the ore and pebbles and limestone.
Fascinating how this iron ore looks like.
The flat part is probably where it was hanging on to a piece of limestone.
This is a piece of limestone that must have been submerged in a heavily mineralised liquor. Bit by bit the minerals crystallised on the limestone. Various metal oxides and other „gunk“. I don’t think it had a low pH
This is a treat for you who have followed on so far. A few months ago I built a tiny kiln and fired some ore.
Well, look at that.
The metal alloy withstands 12% HCl 🙈😊
A final detailed photo, sorry about the quality.
It really does have „that“ shine..
One more 😅
I think this piece of ore is from the same spot.
A lot of ocker and clay and some iron oxides it it next to the mineral I yet have to identify. @Lapilli_55 👋🏼 do you have an idea?

The economics of nuclear don't add up - until we have an equitable price for every ton of CO2 emitted.
I think we should go for the main issue:
CO2
Nuclear does make sense with 6-20g CO2-eq)/kWh.
Also: PV modules don‘t grow on magic trees on wish dot com.
CN has apparently green lit more coal power plants. „clean coal“ was a horrific mess in the US, what did that plant cost?
Also: I don‘t see the issue with cost for storage of nuclear waste.
In the US the waste has to be kept on site because people (some with very strange views on us as a species) are apparently blocking a central and accessible depot.
It is:
• clean
• designed with CAD
• accessible for everyone
• nearly reaches the fine line of „over engineered“

I‘m not going to present it in its entirety.
The engineering and landscaping are based on a storyline and a User Requirements Specification or a similar BD document described many fundamental aspects and there has definitely been input from biologists and others. 3/n
