In the Fall of 2018, ARMY woke up excited. 875 was scheduled to appear on the popular Japanese show Music Station. However, hours before they were supposed to fly to Japan. Their appear was abruptly canceled.

As ARMY scrambled to figure out what happened. We were floored to find out this was "supposedly" due to a t-shirt worn (in the past) by one of the members. A shirt celebrating Korea's independence from Japan.

What made the issue more confusing was that 875 was not the only k-group to wear the shirt. Yet, it was NOT an issue when worn by others. ARMY's quickly learned that the real problem had NOTHING to do with 875 at all.

The day before the cancelation, a court ruled in favor of Korea during the WWII occupation. Extremists made used 875 as an example to show their displeasure. Every, and I mean EVERY news organization from k-media and Voldeboard to the NY Times, covered the story.

Instead of fact-checking the information being spread, these newsgroups chose to regurgitate the false narrative being pushed by J-extremists. That is until a group of ARMY decided to use their voice to educate I-ARMY (and the world) about Korea/Japan history.

Usually, the main winners and groups from BIG companies are in the front, and groups from small companies in the back. In the video... Yoongi is jumping so he can be in the photo, and Jungkook just... (look at Koo's smile, my heart)

I used to feel sad seeing them in the back, even when they had won awards that should have put them in a more visible location. But, Saturday, watching them walk to the front reminded me it's us voting, streaming, and buying that moved them from the back to the front.
