8 Sakhis who are very dear to Radha Rani are called Ashta Sakhis. Love and Care showed by these Sakhis towards Radha and Krishna are unmatched. Ashta Sakhis are Lalita, Visakha, Chitralekha, Champakalata, Tungavidya, Indulekha, Rangadevi and Sudevi.
Lalitha Sakhi
Most famous as Radharani's constant companion. Her mother is Saradi devi and father Visoka. Her husband is Bhairava who is a close friend of Shri Krishna.
Vishakha Sakhi
Second important of all gopis. Her attributes, activities are all like those of Lalita Sakhi.
Champakalata Sakhi
Campakalata is expert at collecting fruits, flowers from the forest.
Chitralekha Sakhi
Chitralekha is expert in music created from water filled mud pots.
Tungavidya Sakhi
Very short tempered, Tungavidya Sakhi is well versed in music.
Indulekha Sakhi
Indulekha is well versed in Naga Sastra and Saumudraka Sastra
Rangadevi
Very beautiful and younger to Radha who always tell jokes and make her smile infront of Sri Krishna.
Sudevi
Rangadevi's sister Sudevi is expert dealing with parrots.

Vrushabadri : Hill is the home of Nandi, Paramashiva's Vahana. Once there lived an Asura Vrushabhasura, who fought with Shiva who was defeated & he requested Paramashiva to name the hill after him which is Vrushabadri
Anjanadri : Anjana Devi did tapasya here & Hanuman was born after vayu deva gave her divine fruit.
Neeladri : Whoever donates hair here are blessed by Neela Devi as a wish received from Mahavishnu for offering her own hair. Giving our hair is the symbol of leaving our ego.
As the name refers Papamochani removes all sin which is committed. Significance of this Ekadasi is mentioned in Bhavishya Purana.
There lived a Sage named Medhavi, an ardent Shiva Bhakt who spend life meditating Shiva. Indra Deva who felt disappointed send apsara Manjughosha to stop his meditation. She was successful & Medhavi forgot his poojas & rituals.
Later Manjughosha requested Medhavi her wish to return, Sage remembered his meditation was lost due to her. Out of anger, he cursed Manjughosha to transform into an ugly & dreadful women. Medhavi went to Sage Chyavana, his father guided to observe Papamochani Ekadasi Vratham
Temples of Shiva which represents 5 Elements (Earth, Water, Air, Space, Fire) are called Pancha Bhoota Sthalas. 4 temples are situated in TN & 1 in AP
1. Ekambareswarar Temple is located in Kanchipuram of Tamil Nadu. Temple represents Earth (Prithvi). Paramashiva is worshipped here as Ekambareshwar. The Shivlinga here is known as Prithvi Lingam. Ma Parvathi made this Lingam using sand.
2. Thiruvanaikal /Jambukeshwar temple represents Water. Paramshiva is worshipped as Jambukeshwar and Devi Parvati as Akhilandeshwari. Shivalingam has an underground water stream which flows continuously.
Mahashivratri is celebrated on Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi in the month of Magha. Shivratri vratam is one of the most important ritual performed for pleasing Mahadev. "Ratri" here denotes darkness in one's Mind, thus one can overcome darkness from life.
Shivaratri pooja is observed in four times in night. It is mentioned in Shiv Mahapuran that Shivratri vrat is very favourite for Shiva. It is believed that on Maha Shivaratri, Mahadev married Maa Parvati, also Shiva perfoms heavenly dance Shiv Tandav. Another story says about
Mahadev drinking Halahala poison. Shiva drinks Poison and held in his throat. The poison stuck in throat & thus name Neelakanda. It is said that Parvati Devi stayed awake all night praying that the poison should not affect him staying awake whole night.
