As a way of processing all the things I saw + experienced in the last 18 months, I'm going back through my emails w/ FEMA, HHS, Apple, Google, Facebook, the State of California, the Biden Transition + more. My goal is to write brief summaries in (roughly) chronological order. /1
2/ I've tweeted regarding 70% to 80% of the events, but always in 280 character chunks. I'm happy to share the narrative version with others on here, but don't want to waste time formatting the content for online consumption if nobody will read it.
3/ So, I've activated Twitter's built-in newsletter tool to gauge interest. I'll post a new issue every time 10 new persons subscribe (for free)
4/ TL;DR: If you're interested in a first-hand account of events that led to the COVID-19 clusterf*ck we have today, sign up for my free newsletter by clicking the link on my profile

If you keep reading, I'll keep writing: every 10 new subscribers ➡️ A new issue is published

/X
I wrote two installments this evening, then I realized that I could only post one per day. Here's the first one. The second one is scheduled to go out in a few hours. Sorry for the mixup.

Not-for-profit ≠ Non-profit. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
“Nonprofits are granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS. [Not-for-profits] are also governed by IRS tax code section 501(c), but depending on their purpose they could fall under a different section, like section 501(c)(7).”

Jan 2020: “nearly half of the CEOs of America’s leading nonprofit health systems last year had salaries that exceeded $2.5 million. The highest paid, the top executive at Banner Health, in Phoenix, received $21.6 million.”

It’s not just Gruden
“[Raiders owner] told reporters that he would not have fired Jack Del Rio unless he knew he could persuade Gruden to join the team––implying [interviews with BIPOC candidates] may have taken place only after the team had a de facto agreement with Gruden”

My only regret is not knowing *exactly* what I said to earn me this honor. If I had to guess, it was a snarky response to one of her posts about the Arizona Fraudit
Apparently this was the last (and first) straw 🤷🏻‍♂️
Guilty as charged…except for the whole Soros thing, which is a thinly-veiled anti-Semitic trope that I would have reported as hateful rhetoric

On this #IndigenousPeoplesDay, I’d like to point out that California still requires 4th-graders to celebrate a whitewashed narrative of the role that Spanish missionaries played in the enslavement and oppression of Native Californians

We must do better.

“In one incident at Mission San Francisco Solano, friars used a hot iron to burn crosses into the foreheads of a group who had tried to escape.”

GQP strategy for the 2022 Midterms is obvious: undermine economic recovery by galvanizing anti-vaxers and disenfranchising Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Native voters

Dems are helping the GQP by ignoring data & experts supporting expanded vax requirements /1
2/ Allowing expanded unemployment benefits to expire helped GQP in 2 ways:
🔸forced people back to unsafe working & learning environments ➡️ spread disease ➡️ lower polling re: COVID-19
🔸Slowed job growth b/c people got sick ➡️ lower polling re: economy

amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/10/10…
3/ If we still have COVID-19 surges a year from now, I don’t see how Democrats keep control of either chamber of Congress. I don’t see how we don’t have more surges if the WH COVID team keeps waffling on its own policies
