So much of life revolves around restaurants

When you're Dating

When you're in a relationship

Special occasions

Meeting friends

Business

Etc
Eating and restaurants are not the same thing

You can eat at your home.

You don't need a restaurant

And yet...
wow, you went on vacation and ate at a bad restaurant.

Terrible design obviously. However, The modern building here is slightly redeemed by the foliage. Oddly a modern building with huge glass windows surrounded by woodland or tropical plant life is probably going to be the contemporary compromise going forward.

For a few reasons

1) I started this a year ago this week and told myself I would write for free for a year and then switch.

2) I work a full time job. Writing this newsletter and creating the podcast takes much of my weekend time.

3) There's a market now for niche creators..
...this market didn't exist years ago. You had no choice in what type of content to consume. It was only scaled up entities.

Now you have a choice.

And creating your own environment is an important task for everyone going forward.

I don't really follow the plot when I watch a movie. I'm looking at the aesthetic. The vibe. The background. What the characters are saying to each other.

Movies don't have the potential to change the way you look at the world like books do.

But they can be a visual feast
Last good movie I saw was the Tarantino film about LA in the late 60s

What was the plot?

There was none. It was just a fun ride along during a specific time period with great scenes.
The problem with superhero and contemporary films isn't that they are dumb. They are.

But they are not aesthetic.

There's no vibe. It's not beautiful or interesting.
